In modern times Kasheli is a comfortable, fast-growing residential locality preferred by working service-class families and individuals for affordable housing, a healthy lifestyle and its close proximity to the Mumbai-Nashik National Highway and Bhiwandi Road. Kasheli being a low-lying area in proximity to Vasai creek, faces water logging issues, especially during the peak monsoon season. Additionally, the metro station at Kasheli is still under construction for Orange Line 5, hence making it difficult to commute for commoners.
