This issue, related to height restrictions near the airport, could lead to demolition and reconstruction, impacting the project's timeline and budget.

BMC Budget Includes ₹6,475 Crore for Water Security Projects

The BMC's FY26-27 budget includes a substantial allocation of ₹6,475 crore for water security initiatives. This funding is designated for projects such as the Manori desalination plant (₹500 crore) and the Gargai project (₹437.51 crore), aimed at augmenting the city's water supply capacity.

MMRDA Accelerates Atal Setu–Mumbai–Pune Expressway Link Project, Targeting February 2027 Completion

MMRDA has made significant progress on the 7.35 km Atal Setu–Mumbai–Pune Expressway connector. With foundation and girder works advancing, the project is on track for completion by February 2027. This will enable signal-free travel and faster connectivity between Mumbai and Pune.

A total of 20 out of 27 launched units have been booked as of February 2026, including 74% of SHOP(20 out of 27 units).
