The Panvel-Karjat New Suburban Corridor is nearing completion, The Virar-Dahanu Road Quadrupling Project is progressing fast. Signalling and telecommunication works have been commissioned at Kelve Road station.

A total of 6 residential transactions has been registered so far for Gargi Hills, amounting to ₹ 2 Cr till August 2026.

Utilizing electric ferries, the project aims to significantly reduce travel time by up to 50% on certain routes, ease traffic congestion on roads and local trains, and provide an eco-friendly transportation alternative.

Virar Station Platforms Upgraded to Accommodate 15-Coach Trains

Western Railway and Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation have completed significant capacity augmentation works at Virar station. Platforms 3A and 4A have been widened and extended to handle 15-coach local trains, replacing the previous 12-coach capacity. A new platform, 5A, has also been constructed. This upgrade is expected to boost carrying capacity and improve commuter experience on the western corridor.
