Homebuyers at the Hemisphere housing project in Greater Noida's sector 27 protested against the developer's six-year delay in delivering their units. Construction has been halted for the past six years, and the developer has yet to promise when the project will be completed.
Residents of various housing societies in Noida and Greater Noida have initiated a "No Registry, No Vote" campaign to voice their issues against the local development authorities and MP Mahesh Sharma. The campaign has gained traction in multiple societies including Gardinia Glory in sector 46, futek Gateway in sector 75, Himalayan Pride in Greater Noida West, and Nerala Greens and Global in Greater Noida.
Noida residents from 32 housing societies, including those in 7X sectors (sector 74 to 78) and Sectors 141, 167, and 137, protested against delayed flat registries. Around one lakh property registries are pending in Noida, with nearly 25,000 belonging to the 7X sectors and nearby areas, affecting more than 1.5 lakh residents.
Sector 150, Noida, feels more open than most parts of the city, and that shows in how projects are spaced out here. Prices have risen over time, but remain below those in many central sectors. The Noida–Greater Noida Expressway runs right alongside, and the nearest metro access comes via the Aqua Line, which most people use for daily travel.
