Panvel-Karjat Corridor Nears Completion, MRVC Accelerates Mumbai Rail Upgrades

Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC) has made significant progress on suburban rail projects. The Panvel-Karjat New Suburban Corridor is nearing completion, The Virar-Dahanu Road Quadrupling Project is progressing fast. Signalling and telecommunication works have been commissioned at Kelve Road station.

A total of 11 residential transactions has been registered so far for Majesty Olympus Towers, amounting to ₹ 4 Cr till August 2026.

Mumbai's Water Metro Project Phase 1 to Connect Key Regions with 16 Routes and 26 Terminals

Mumbai is set to launch its Water Metro project, with Phase 1 planning 16 routes and 26 terminals to connect Mumbai with Navi Mumbai, Thane, Vasai, and other areas. Utilizing electric ferries, the project aims to significantly reduce travel time by up to 50% on certain routes, ease traffic congestion on roads and local trains, and provide an eco-friendly transportation alternative.

Virar Station Platforms Upgraded to Accommodate 15-Coach Trains

Western Railway and Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation have completed significant capacity augmentation works at Virar station. Platforms 3A and 4A have been widened and extended to handle 15-coach local trains, replacing the previous 12-coach capacity. A new platform, 5A, has also been constructed. This upgrade is expected to boost carrying capacity and improve commuter experience on the western corridor.

Internal finishing stands at 6%, MEP Services including lift and staircases, are now 18% done.

A total of 10 out of 355 launched units have been booked as of February 2026, including 3% of 1 BHK(7 out of 232 units), 3% of 2 BHK(3 out of 119 units).
