Nanded is a major city in Maharashtra and is also the headquarters of the Nanded district. Demand for property in Nanded has gone up hugely in recent years with rapid development and infrastructural progress. Nanded is a famous Sikh pilgrimage destination and the 10th Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh had made this his permanent residence and passed on the mantle to the Guru Granth Sahib prior to his death here.

Nanded also has the Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Airport and this only offers seasonal and regularly scheduled flights to Delhi and Mumbai in winter. The airport has a night landing facility but is not operational at present. Nanded is home to several industries and tourism is another major source of revenue here. There is a proposal for a Nanded-Aurangabad Industrial Corridor as part of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor. Nanded is home to several reputed educational institutions and there are a whopping 131 colleges here which are all affiliated to the Swami Raman and Teerth Marathwada University. This makes it a major educational hub and several students come from other areas in Maharashtra to study here.
The Shri Guru Gobind Singh Institute of Engineering and Technology, Dr Shankarrao Chavan Government Medical College, Mahatma Gandhi Mission’s College of Engineering and Technology, NSB College, Science College, People’s College and the Yeshwant Mahavidyalaya are leading names in the area. Agriculture is the backbone of the economy in Nanded along with tourism. There is a regional cotton research centre in the area while an agricultural school is also operational under the Krishi Vidyapeeth umbrella. Nanded attracts thousands of tourists every year with its Fort, Kaleshwar Temple, Urvashi Ghat, Siddheshwar Temple and the Hazur Saheb Nanded Gurdwara which is constructed at the spot where Guru Gobind Singh died. The Sahasrakund Waterfalls and Nanded Fort are other attractions for tourists in the area.
Major industries in Nanded include Jai Corp Limited, Tata Chemicals Limited, Kirti Foods, Godavari Drugs Limited and IND Bharat Energies. Property prices have fallen by approximately 6.27% in the area as per Q3 2015 and average prices stand at around INR 4, 896 per sq. ft. here for the same period. Popular projects include Nanded City Mangal Bhairav, Nanded City Sarang, Nanded City Madhuvanti and Nanded City Asawari to name a few.
