Demand for property in Pimpri Chinchwad PCMC has escalated tremendously over the years with speedy infrastructure development and better connectivity. The zone consists of areas like Nigdi, Chinchwad, Pimpri, Ravet, Akurdi, Hinjewadi, Bhosari, Punawale, Moshi and Sangavi among others. All these areas are governed by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation or PCMC which is the common municipal body. The Pune Airport is well connected to the area along with the proposed new airport near Chakan.

The area has its own state transport bus stand at Vallabhnagar. The PMPML bus network is a major connectivity lifeline in the region. The BRTS system is also being developed in the area and will boost connectivity hugely in the future. Metro connectivity has also been proposed by the Maharashtra Government up to Pimpri Chinchwad as part of the Pune Metro project. The major railway stations in the area are the Chinchwad, Pimpri and Akurdi railway stations. Several leading developers like the Nyati Group, Kumar Properties, Mahindra Lifespaces, Kalpataru, Kolte Patil, Pharande Spaces, Namrata Group, Kohinoor Group and Goel Ganga have come up with premium residential projects in this belt.

There will soon be an increase in the population of the entire stretch with possession being rolled out by several reputed developers soon. The area promises attractive rental yields and scope of appreciation. The proposed Ring Road will also boost connectivity hugely for residents in the near future. The entire PCMC zone is immaculately planned in a manner so as to avoid mistakes committed in the case of Navi Mumbai which is the largest planned township in the world. The area offers great connectivity through the confluence of the National Highways 50 and 4 and the entire area has a network of highways running to cities like Bangalore, Mumbai, Nasik, Hyderabad and Chennai.

Property prices increased by 2.47% in the area as per Q3 2015 and average property prices range between INR 2, 750 and 11, 098 per sq. ft. for the same period. The number of luxury projects is steadily outstripping the supply of entry level, mid range and standard housing projects in the region.
