    With the new Metro Red Line 7 and the Goregaon railway station easily accessible, I am secure and at ease here, therefore traveling around Mumbai is rather simple. Offering fantastic social infrastructure like Oberoi Mall and proximity to major corporate centres like NESCO and Film City, the neighbourhood is very energetic. The touch of trees from the neighbouring Aarey Colony, which offers a quiet refuge from city din, is my favourite feature. For families as well as experts, I quite advise this neighbourhood. Still, the persistent waterlogging problems on the roads during strong monsoon rains have to be fixed as quickly as possible.

    Now, frankly speaking, Goregaon East is one of the top localities in Mumbai, if you’re a greenery lover. I just love exploring the entire Gokuldham zone, along with Aarey Colony, and all the forested trails. It’s so romantic and adventurous, while you can take your walks and jogs peacefully. The fresh air and pollution-free environment in the early morning and late evening is a huge plus point. Of course, some traffic jams and pollution arises from the vehicles, but that’s a minor inconvenience till now. The best part is the Red Line 7 metro station which helps us commute to several places.

    The Western Express Highway is the main lifeline for me, when I commute every day. We also have the Red Line 7 station which my husband uses, ever since it started some time back. Also, the JVLR access and railway station are present. So, from a connectivity perspective, there is nothing to beat Goregaon East. It is very easy to travel through the city and beyond, once you live in this location. Also, I love the clean and green nature of the locality. The Aarey Colony and other vast, forested areas are all within this locality. It is a whole new experience altogether. Yes, there is increasing pollution and honking by vehicles, along with peak-hour traffic jams. But the lifestyle here is unmatched in Mumbai!

    See, I have been living here for some time now, and I can safely suggest that the locality is very nice to stay in. One of the key things worth noting in this regard is the connectivity that I enjoy. That’s actually why I invested here. So, I can easily travel to my workplace in Powai within just 20 minutes or so. This has simplified my lifestyle in a city like Mumbai, where traffic jams are common. At the same time, the Mumbai international airport is just 12-15 minutes away from my home. This is another advantage of staying in Goregaon East. Social infrastructure-wise, everything is well-developed and within arm’s length. The only gripe that I can possibly have is that waterlogging sometimes impacts us all during the monsoon.

    Goregaon East was one of our smartest money moves because real estate here is relatively priced for a Mumbai Western Suburb. Having the railway station, several Metro stations, and the Western Express Highway on hand makes my daily drive to the commercial centers such an easy affair. We feel extremely secure, and the proximity to Aarey Colony provides a welcome breath of greenery that's all too scarce in the city. The Goregaon-Mulund Link Road currently under construction will be a game changer for cross-city commuting. But to really enhance the residential experience, the essential infrastructure upgrade that needs attention is improved traffic control and more even road surfaces, especially around the major intersections.

The locality enjoys great connectivity with Goregaon railway station, metro stations, and easy connectivity to Western Express Highway. Schools, hospitals, malls such as Oberoi and Central, and local markets are accessible nearby. Parks such as Wagheshwari and Aarey provide space for strolls. The apartments are new, and rental rates are high. Infrastructure and the supply of basic utilities are good, although waterlogging during monsoons and improved waste management are points that need to be addressed to make residing here easier.

    Positives I enjoyed my stay in Goregaon East because it provided tremendous connectivity that made Mumbai accessible, having a local railway station, several Metro stations, and easy access to the Western Express Highway. I never felt unsafe here, and I liked the robust social infrastructure, including numerous credible schools such as Oberoi International School, various hospitals, and, obviously, the bustling Oberoi Mall for all my shopping requirements. One of the highlights was having proximity to the huge Aarey Colony for some much-needed greenery, which made it an ideal getaway. To top it, the civic body actually needed to undertake some better waste management policies, and local authorities needed to tackle waterlogging problems during the torrential monsoon months better.

    Positives: I thoroughly like the combination of urban accessibility and peaceful residential living of this lovely neighborhood. My apartment is within easy reach of the Goregaon railway station, and thus commuting to South and Central Mumbai is convenient. There are great schools, hospitals, shopping malls such as Oberoi Mall, and lots of local bazaars. New residential complexes have up-to-date amenities and clean complexes. Roads are getting better, and residents here have a good sense of community. It feels safe and content to live here. To improve it further, traffic regulation during rush hours and enhanced pedestrian facilities could enhance daily life. On the whole, Goregaon East is a highly satisfactory place to live.

    I am very proud that I stay in Goregaon East. It’s such a green and clean locality that I find a lot of peace here. The Line 7 of the metro network is slowly coming here in the future, and I know that the property values will appreciate considerably in the near future. Also, my society members are very welcoming. It’s just like the wonderful Gokuldham society you see in the Tarak Mehta show! Everything else is fine, in terms of amenities, locality profile, connectivity, etc. But what is the best part? It is how I can take long and leisurely walks in the green belt, complete with access to the Aarey Colony and forest zones. The only thing that should be improved is traffic management. Otherwise, the area will slowly become polluted.

Social infrastructure is good, good schools, malls such as Oberoi Mall, and hospitals are within easy reach. Also, you aren not too far away from green areas such as Sanjay Gandhi National Park and Aarey, which provides a more peaceful environment. Negatives: Waterlogging and potholes are a major issue on most roads during monsoon season. In addition, noise and air pollution are also high due to heavy traffic, highways, and road construction. Rents and property prices are going up quickly, so affordability is an issue.

    Positives: I love living in Goregaon East. After all, the beautiful Aarey Colony is only 10-15 minutes away. It’s one natural hangout that you will love! Then there’s Chota Kashmir Boat Club and Film City nearby, in case you’re looking to unwind at local attractions. The Metro Line 7 will improve connectivity further in the future, while the roads and all are pretty well-developed. Plenty of posh societies with great amenities in the locality, while one of its plus points remains the quick access to many corporate hubs like Nirlon, Nesco, Infinity IT Park, etc. Negatives: Plenty of cars piling up and honking during the rush hours is one problem. The pollution has gone up and is affecting this otherwise beautiful green zone.

    Positives: I've had my flat in this area for eight years now. I really, each day I'm grateful for this investment. The largest advantage is the easy reach of the city. The Goregaon East Metro station and Western Express Highway provide my office travel truly simply. We have the huge Oberoi Mall close for everything, and my children go to a wonderful school here. Having the Aarey green belt near is a real boon in Mumbai. Negatives: That notwithstanding, there are certainly two headaches. One, the road noise pollution from the highway is quite continuous, particularly in the daytime, which can be annoying. Two, when the heavy monsoons arrive, the waterlogging in the vicinity of the Dindoshi area can make a 10-minute drive into a nightmare. Albeit those small problems, I'd never swap this address!

    Positives: It is the ideal sweet spot to own property in Mumbai. In my opinion, the investment aspect is the biggest beneficiary. We have excellent connectivity with the Western Express Highway and the new Metro Line 7 coming right through here, so my property value is increasing steadily year by year. It's not only a sound investment, it's a great place to live as well. We have all the finest social infrastructure ranging from Oberoi Mall to high-end schools and hospitals. Negatives: The only small drawback is that because the location is so trendy and central, there can be a bit of traffic during rush hour some times, but really, that's just Mumbai life.
