BMC Sets Deadlines for Key Infrastructure Projects: Vidyavihar Connector, GMLR Phase 1, and Mankhurd Flyover to Open Soon

BMC Budget Includes ₹6,475 Crore for Water Security Projects

The BMC's FY26-27 budget includes a substantial allocation of ₹6,475 crore for water security initiatives. This funding is designated for projects such as the Manori desalination plant (₹500 crore) and the Gargai project (₹437.51 crore), aimed at augmenting the city's water supply capacity.

Mumbai Coastal Road (North) Project Allocated ₹4,000 Crore

The Versova-Dahisar stretch of the Mumbai Coastal Road (North) project has received a significant allocation of ₹4,000 crore in the BMC's FY26-27 budget. This 25-km-long corridor aims to connect Versova in the western suburbs with Bhayander in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

Mumbai-Pune Expressway 'Missing Link' Project Set for May 1 Inauguration, Promising Safer and Faster Travel

The highly anticipated 'Missing Link' project on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway is set to be inaugurated on May 1, significantly reducing travel time by approximately 30 minutes and enhancing safety. The 10.5-km stretch features tunnels and a bridge, bypassing the accident-prone Khandala Ghat. This infrastructure upgrade is expected to ease traffic congestion, improve travel safety.

A total of 104 out of 113 launched units have been booked as of October 2024, including 90% of OFFICERANGE 601 TO 1000(35 out of 39 units), 96% of OFFICERANGE 0 TO 600 SF(23 out of 24 units), 77% of OFFICESABOVE 1000 SF(10 out of 13 units), 92% of OFFICESABOVE 1000(11 out of 12 units), 100% of OFFICERANGE 0 TO 600(20 units), OFFICEABOVE 1000 SF(5 units).
