The pollution has gone up and is affecting this otherwise beautiful green zone.

The Goregaon East Metro station and Western Express Highway provide my office travel truly simply. We have the huge Oberoi Mall close for everything, and my children go to a wonderful school here. Pollution levels are high by way of noise and air pollution, and waste disposal is erratic. The rents are also high, making it difficult for tenants such as myself to save anything. Positives: I stayed in Goregaon East for two years and I enjoyed how convenient everything was. I used to catch trains from Goregaon station, take buses or use the Western Express Highway to travel, and shopping at Oberoi Mall or NESCO was convenient on weekends. I discovered good schools, clinics and small parks within the vicinity, and daily life was convenient with a lot of shops and cafés nearby. Negatives: I also grew tired of a few things. I experienced bad waterlogging during heavy monsoons which brought traffic to a standstill and even overflowed into the mall entrance once, which was infuriating. Parking is a nuisance in busy pockets, rents and resale rates seemed high, and constant construction/noise made some streets dirty. For me it's a functional three-star location.
Positives: I have a flat in Goregaon East, and I still refer to it as a vibrant, convenient suburb. I stay close to Film City and Aarey, so I get green oases and film-studio vibes within easy reach. I catch the Goregaon East metro and local trains frequently, and I find malls, schools and hospitals just a short trip away. I notice lots of new developments and steady rent demand, so I think it's good for families and investors alike. Negatives: I have observed severe waterlogging during heavy monsoon spells here, and therefore I always advise individuals to inspect drainage reports and previous flood locations prior to purchase.

Negatives: I informed all my clients that a few older pockets still suffer drainage and water-logging during heavy monsoon rains, which prospective buyers should inspect before purchasing.
Positives: I am liking my neighbourhood and I enjoy the fact that everything is within reach. I have schools like Ryan International and St. Xavier's nearby, which is convenient for my kids. Hospitals like Lifeline Medicare are also just a few minutes away. Restaurants, daily needs, and shopping malls are all within my reach. The railway station and metro make it easy to commute, and buses and cabs are readily available. Years passed, and I noticed the area improving well, with new residential complexes, parks, and proper water supply and electricity, and life has become comfortable for my family. Negatives: The only offensive aspect that I see is waterlogging during the monsoon and other waste management issues, but other than that, it's a pleasant place to live.
Positives: I must say, it's really convenient to live in Goregaon East. We're so close to the Western Express Highway, and the metro and local train stations are within walking distance. It's a very good location for my work with all the IT parks here, and the malls and parks make life so convenient. The locality is also quite safe. Negatives: The only actual drag is when the monsoons strike and waterlog. That is otherwise rare. Everything else, pollution and noise included, can be overwhelming at times.

Positives: I love residing here as all the necessary amenities, such as schools and hospitals, are within proximity. The transport is also excellent with the metro and the railway. I also feel extremely safe here. Negatives: The rent is too high, which is a big issue. It is difficult to get suitable accommodation. Waterlogging and potholes are a big issue during the monsoon as well.
