Now, frankly speaking, Goregaon East is one of the top localities in Mumbai, if you’re a greenery lover. I just love exploring the entire Gokuldham zone, along with Aarey Colony, and all the forested trails. It’s so romantic and adventurous, while you can take your walks and jogs peacefully. The fresh air and pollution-free environment in the early morning and late evening is a huge plus point. Of course, some traffic jams and pollution arises from the vehicles, but that’s a minor inconvenience till now. The best part is the Red Line 7 metro station which helps us commute to several places.

Goregaon East has its fair share of pros. For starters, you’ll love how green the area is, courtesy of its proximity to the Aarey region and the entire forest stretch. It’s hard to imagine a forest within such a busy locality in Mumbai! Also, there are multiple housing options here, with varying price points. You’ll find friendly and well-developed residential communities, in addition to all amenities at your fingertips. The WEH is the main lifeline, along with the metro line, and JVLR.

There is some deforestation that’s happening in the name of development. This needs to stop, since vehicular pollution already damages the clean and green zone near our residential complex.

Positives: Being right off the Western Express Highway and proximate to Goregaon East Metro station makes my office commute easy. Aarey Colony is just next door. I feel really secure here, even walking back late, and having Oberoi Mall and NESCO so close on hand provides me with everything I need. It's an ideal central location, and I'm pretty content here.

Negatives: The worst concern is the waterlogging and huge potholes around the station during rains are atrocious and must be attended to urgently immediately. The entire area gets clogged with noise and air pollution as well. The perpetual peak-hour traffic jam on the main roads is a big headache.

The Western Express Highway is the main lifeline for me, when I commute every day. We also have the Red Line 7 station which my husband uses, ever since it started some time back. Also, the JVLR access and railway station are present. So, from a connectivity perspective, there is nothing to beat Goregaon East. It is very easy to travel through the city and beyond, once you live in this location. Also, I love the clean and green nature of the locality. The Aarey Colony and other vast, forested areas are all within this locality. It is a whole new experience altogether. Yes, there is increasing pollution and honking by vehicles, along with peak-hour traffic jams. But the lifestyle here is unmatched in Mumbai!

Positives: I think this location is a great spot, centrally located and straight connected to the Western Express Highway. The place is extremely secure and well maintained, particularly in the surrounding areas of the large residential complexes. I believe connectivity is outstanding with the Goregaon Railway Station and new Metro Line 7 stations within close proximity. Being in close proximity to the large business parks and the upcoming Goregaon-Mulund Link Road, it is an ideal destination for both investors and tenants.

Negatives: I found the rent prices to be very high here, so it is certainly not an economical place for all. I have to say that the roads, especially some inner roads and old parts, would get very large potholes during the rainy season. Further, overall pollution levels are very high.

One of the good things about staying in Goregaon East is how everything is so close by. The IT and tech hub of Powai is only 20-25 minutes away, while the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is also accessible within only 15 minutes. At the same time, the Metro Line 7 also ensures great connectivity, while buses and other transportation are also available here. This has made living here so smooth in terms of accessing everything from my workplace to other infrastructure. What I love most about the place is how the beautiful Aarey Colony is just a short walk away from my home. I love walking here every morning and evening, with the greenery, forest, and lovely views.

I only wish that the waterlogging issue would be solved by the civic authorities. They can fast-track the de-clogging of the drains in our locality.

I am also eager for the completion of the Goregaon-Mulund Link Road (GMLR), which, I hear, will lower travel time between the western and eastern suburbs. Vedant Hospital, Oberoi Mall, St. Thomas School, and many other social amenities are also present in the neighbourhood. Multiple corporate parks are also nearby, which should benefit the professionals living here.

The beautiful Aarey Colony will no longer remain sacrosanct if we allow this level of pollution, honking, noise, dust, vehicular emissions, and deforestation for projects. This is something that needs to be stopped immediately.

So, you can easily take walks, check out all the natural attractions, and just enjoy the vibe whenever you want. Secondly, the locality is home to several well-established residential societies. You get access to multiple housing options. Thirdly, the social amenities are excellent, be it schools, hospitals, markets, shopping outlets, restaurants, etc. Last but not least, the connectivity via WEH and BEST buses is also top-notch.

I believe there is one major area for improvement, specifically waterlogging. This keeps the area inundated for days in the monsoon. I believe it is due to a clogged drainage system.

See, I have been living here for some time now, and I can safely suggest that the locality is very nice to stay in. One of the key things worth noting in this regard is the connectivity that I enjoy. That’s actually why I invested here. So, I can easily travel to my workplace in Powai within just 20 minutes or so. This is another advantage of staying in Goregaon East. Social infrastructure-wise, everything is well-developed and within arm’s length. The only gripe that I can possibly have is that waterlogging sometimes impacts us all during the monsoon.

Goregaon East was one of our smartest money moves because real estate here is relatively priced for a Mumbai Western Suburb. Also, because of hasty construction, there is much noise pollution and poor air quality is becoming a major issue.

Positives: I used to stay in Goregaon East a couple of years back, and it was very convenient. The locality has good schools such as Ryan International and St. Xavier's, good hospitals within reach, and lots of shopping malls such as Oberoi and Hub Mall. Rent is very steep, even for smaller flats. If I had a wish list, it would include better drainage in the locality, more regular waste collection and lower rent.

Negatives: The old interior roads, particularly around the station, certainly do require serious maintenance and usually flood quite badly in the monsoons. Second, although we have wonderful malls, the local, small markets tend to get encroached upon. Lastly, I have found the supply of water in certain micro-pockets to be irregular, even though the main areas are all right.

I am very proud that I stay in Goregaon East. It’s such a green and clean locality that I find a lot of peace here. The Line 7 of the metro network is slowly coming here in the future, and I know that the property values will appreciate considerably in the near future. Also, my society members are very welcoming. It’s just like the wonderful Gokuldham society you see in the Tarak Mehta show! Everything else is fine, in terms of amenities, locality profile, connectivity, etc. But what is the best part? It is how I can take long and leisurely walks in the green belt, complete with access to the Aarey Colony and forest zones. The only thing that should be improved is traffic management. Otherwise, the area will slowly become polluted.

Goregaon East has always been a great place to stay. I did not really shift out of the place because I didn’t like it; it was more out of compulsion. One of the things that I loved doing was taking long morning or evening walks, right along the entire Aarey Colony stretch. How many areas in Mumbai boast of a natural forest? That’s the USP of the place, according to me. Of course, connectivity-wise, it’s still fine, and the property rates are comparatively decent compared to many other prime Mumbai localities.

Positives: I love living in Goregaon East. After all, the beautiful Aarey Colony is only 10-15 minutes away. It’s one natural hangout that you will love! Then there’s Chota Kashmir Boat Club and Film City nearby, in case you’re looking to unwind at local attractions. The Metro Line 7 will improve connectivity further in the future, while the roads and all are pretty well-developed. Plenty of posh societies with great amenities in the locality, while one of its plus points remains the quick access to many corporate hubs like Nirlon, Nesco, Infinity IT Park, etc. Negatives: Plenty of cars piling up and honking during the rush hours is one problem. The pollution has gone up and is affecting this otherwise beautiful green zone.

Positives: I've had my flat in this area for eight years now. I really, each day I'm grateful for this investment. The largest advantage is the easy reach of the city. The Goregaon East Metro station and Western Express Highway provide my office travel truly simply. We have the huge Oberoi Mall close for everything, and my children go to a wonderful school here. Having the Aarey green belt near is a real boon in Mumbai. Negatives: That notwithstanding, there are certainly two headaches. One, the road noise pollution from the highway is quite continuous, particularly in the daytime, which can be annoying. Property rents were high, and parking space in some areas was insufficient. Inner roads in older areas were narrow.

The distance from Aarey Colony also provides a unique patch of greenland in the city. Negatives: Traffic volume on the principal roads is very heavy and continuous. We often encounter waterlogging and huge potholes during monsoons. Further, the air and noise pollution levels here are very high, which detracts from the otherwise serene atmosphere.

Positives: It is the ideal sweet spot to own property in Mumbai. In my opinion, the investment aspect is the biggest beneficiary. We have excellent connectivity with the Western Express Highway and the new Metro Line 7 coming right through here, so my property value is increasing steadily year by year. It's not only a sound investment, it's a great place to live as well. We have all the finest social infrastructure ranging from Oberoi Mall to high-end schools and hospitals. Negatives: The only small drawback is that because the location is so trendy and central, there can be a bit of traffic during rush hour some times, but really, that's just Mumbai life.

Pollution levels are high by way of noise and air pollution, and waste disposal is erratic. The rents are also high, making it difficult for tenants such as myself to save anything. On the whole, I would rate it three out of five stars

Positives: I stayed in Goregaon East for two years and I enjoyed how convenient everything was. I used to catch trains from Goregaon station, take buses or use the Western Express Highway to travel, and shopping at Oberoi Mall or NESCO was convenient on weekends. I discovered good schools, clinics and small parks within the vicinity, and daily life was convenient with a lot of shops and cafés nearby. Negatives: I also grew tired of a few things. I experienced bad waterlogging during heavy monsoons which brought traffic to a standstill and even overflowed into the mall entrance once, which was infuriating. Parking is a nuisance in busy pockets, rents and resale rates seemed high, and constant construction/noise made some streets dirty. For me it's a functional three-star location.

Positives: I have a flat in Goregaon East, and I still refer to it as a vibrant, convenient suburb. I stay close to Film City and Aarey, so I get green oases and film-studio vibes within easy reach. I catch the Goregaon East metro and local trains frequently, and I find malls, schools and hospitals just a short trip away. I notice lots of new developments and steady rent demand, so I think it's good for families and investors alike. Negatives: I have observed severe waterlogging during heavy monsoon spells here, and therefore I always advise individuals to inspect drainage reports and previous flood locations prior to purchase.

Positives: I market in Goregaon East, and I explain to the buyers that it has the convenience of city life along with green pockets. There are Film City and Aarey give open areas, while hospitals, malls and quality schools are nearby. I observe good rail and metro connectivity (Goregaon station and the new metro station) and ready highway connectivity. Therefore, I feel that commutes are fine for everyone. I observe a lot of new developments and consistent rental demand. These aspects make it suitable for investors. Also, I have to say prices and project numbers remain active. Negatives: I informed all my clients that a few older pockets still suffer drainage and water-logging during heavy monsoon rains, which prospective buyers should inspect before purchasing.

Positives: I am liking my neighbourhood and I enjoy the fact that everything is within reach. I have schools like Ryan International and St. Xavier's nearby, which is convenient for my kids. Hospitals like Lifeline Medicare are also just a few minutes away. Restaurants, daily needs, and shopping malls are all within my reach. The railway station and metro make it easy to commute, and buses and cabs are readily available. Years passed, and I noticed the area improving well, with new residential complexes, parks, and proper water supply and electricity, and life has become comfortable for my family. Negatives: The only offensive aspect that I see is waterlogging during the monsoon and other waste management issues, but other than that, it's a pleasant place to live.

Positives: I must say, it's really convenient to live in Goregaon East. We're so close to the Western Express Highway, and the metro and local train stations are within walking distance. It's a very good location for my work with all the IT parks here, and the malls and parks make life so convenient. The locality is also quite safe. Negatives: The only actual drag is when the monsoons strike and waterlog. That is otherwise rare. Everything else, pollution and noise included, can be overwhelming at times.

Positives: Living in this locality is a combination of convenience and open spaces. The metro and Western Express Highway make it easy for me to commute. I have everything within reach, such as malls to hospitals. It's a wonderful place for my family. Negatives: Noise pollution is always an issue. There are a few waste management issues, and the cost of living is very high.

Positives: Goregaon East is a calm and well-planned location. I appreciate that it is near the railway and metro stations. The location also has good social infrastructure with lots of schools, hospitals, and shopping malls. Negatives: In the monsoon season, waterlogging is a significant problem. The traffic and noise pollution can also be very heavy, and waste disposal is an issue.

Positives: I love residing here as all the necessary amenities, such as schools and hospitals, are within proximity. The transport is also excellent with the metro and the railway. I also feel extremely safe here. Negatives: The rent is too high, which is a big issue. It is difficult to get suitable accommodation. Waterlogging and potholes are a big issue during the monsoon as well.
