With a strong bus system and the Green Line Metro, connectivity is great and travel across the city is rather simple. The famous 4th Block Shopping Complex and the many local marketplaces where I may get everything are what I adore most. Mature, well-maintained, and boasting superb social infrastructure including premium schools and hospitals such Apollo Speciality, the neighbourhood but management of the aging drainage system is one area that has to be absolutely addressed as localized waterlogging might occur under intense monsoon rains. For its peaceful community attitude and unravel convenience, I gladly suggest Jayanagar.

Connectivity was excellent with the Green Line Metro and the huge Jayanagara TTMAC bus stand within walking distance. Schools such as Mothers Touch and hospitals like Apollo Specialty were never far away. My favorite aspect was the serene street shopping at the 4th Block market. It was a premium, pricey place, but the overall experience is very comfortable.

Negative: The ever-steep property and rental values were a serious financial worry for the majority of the residents. Secondly, the antiquated drainage system led to regular and untidy water-logging on internal roads, predominantly during the monsoon. The ease and vintage, green beauty of Jayanagar are simply impossible to find elsewhere.

Positives: As an owner at Jayanagar I picked it for the dependable safety and that calm, old-Bangalore greenery. Madhavan Park is my favorite place. The Jayanagar Metro station provides me with good city connectivity. We have super hospitals such as Apollo here. It's definitely not cheap, but I think the high-rent locality is worth it for the convenience and the lifestyle.

Negatives: Traffic at peak time around the 4th Block market is total pandemonium. The abysmal on-street parking is beyond imagination. Negatives: I am perturbed by the acute traffic congestion, particularly near the core business areas. An area that requires immediate attention is the state of ageing freestanding houses up for rent. I also strongly hope that the local government will address the poor water supply problem in some blocks, as that's a concern for long-term stay residents.

I love staying in Jayanagar. Once you enter the area, it’s like entering into a more peaceful and classic version of Bangalore, with its lovely trees, weather, wide roads, and some really charming houses. Many established families of Bangalore still live here, and the entire neighbourhood is friendly and non-intrusive. At the same time, the 4th Block Market is the hangout spot for us, in terms of buying almost everything under the sun. You’ll find some great street food here as well. My child studies in DPS, which is not very far from the locality, while healthcare facilities are also available. Yes, the airport is slightly far, but that’s not a deal-breaker.

Jayanagar is everything I could have wished for and more! Let’s be honest here; I paid a king’s ransom to buy a property here. But I feel that it has been worth every penny, since the whole vibe of the locality is different from other places in Bangalore. I used to stay on the outskirts earlier, and this was my dream location, since my uncle lives here. The roads, greenery, markets, elite crowd- it’s like settling down in a crème-de-la-crème place. Yes, the only thing that they can improve is probably the traffic management, since even a peaceful area like this gets crowded with vehicles during the peak hours.

One of the best things I like about Jayanagar is the abundance of greenery in the area. There are wide roads, and some really cool houses here. The crowd is mostly well-behaved and well-established. It’s certainly got that Old Bangalore feeling, while the 4th Block Market is an institution in itself, offering plenty of opportunities for picking up affordable stuff at great bargains. DPS, National Public School, and many other reputed educational institutions are also located nearby. Overall, it’s a posh area to stay in. My one grouse is that the international airport is too far away, taking about 1 hour and 15 minutes on average. This leads to some tensions, when I have late night flights.

Positives: I am comfortable here, and I would have to say it is growing on me. The area is centrally located and easily accessible to most areas of Bangalore. I walk to markets, shops, and parks. The neighborhood is safe and family oriented. Metro stops and regular buses make it convenient to travel around daily. A number of buyers prefer the peaceful tree-lined streets of Jayanagar.

Negatives: I do see a few negatives that I feel require improvement. Some of the inner streets are in disrepair and require maintenance following rains. Major projects take their time to reach this area, and hence change is slow. A couple of market lanes are less well lit at night which makes me watchful when I walk alone. Nonetheless, I feel the neighbourhood comfort surpasses the negatives.

Jayanagar is one of those classic clean and green areas in Bangalore. I am so happy to stay here, and I can say the same for my family members as well. The M.N. Krishna Rao Park is our regular hangout, and of course, the local market is quite bustling and vibrant. Jayanagar is one of those quintessentially posh localities. I’m so happy to have lived here for as long as I can remember. I still like taking long walks throughout the area, with the quaint houses, the trees, the wide roads, and the charming parks, including the M.N. Krishna Rao Park, which is my favourite. Of course, the hospitals, schools, stores, and markets are all available, while the soft Cauvery water supply is also a big game-changer. I also like the Cool Joint and other local eateries here, along with the 4th Block vibe, with its shopping, street bustle, and fabulous bargains. It also helps that we can access the BMTC buses and Namma Metro Green Line pretty easily. My only issue is the long commuting time to Whitefield, where I work. The rest is absolutely fine, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

To maintain this region flawless, ongoing efforts on improving the nearby drainage systems and internal road resurfacing are an essential investment for the future.

The only thing I can mention for improvement is the traffic congestion, especially in the commercial area like 4th Block.

So, I’m very happy to live here, with the only issue being the limited availability of parking slots, which is problematic at times.

Green Line Metro stations and the Jayanagara TTMC bus terminus offering convenient access throughout the city, complemented by plenty of street shopping at the renowned 4th Block complex and quality healthcare from Apollo Speciality Hospital.

Negatives: Some such areas where municipal services have to play catch up. A common problem is the broken drainage system, which causes heavy water logging on the roads whenever there are rains. Also, local police patrols must be considerably beefed up, particularly in the night, to enhance overall security and safety.

I moved to Jayanagar years back for job and now I cannot even think of staying elsewhere as a tetant. It's the best planned and green area of Bangalore. Roads are broad, clean and well connected to JP Nagar, Basavanagudi and MG Road. Metro stations and BMTC buses facilitate easy travel. The locality has the best schools, hospitals, parks and popular shopping complexes like Jayanagar 4th Block. It's calm but vibrant, ideal for families. The blend of traditional charm and contemporary lifestyle is unique. What truly needs to be worked on is simplifying parking space concerns and improving waste segregation to preserve its cleanliness and serenity. I strongly suggest residing here.

Positives: I absolutely adore this lovely area; it's homely. My street is green and peaceful. I stroll to the Jayanagar 4th Block market for fresh veggies, clothes and little goodies. We tend to spend time at the several parks or the renowned 4th Block market. My sole real worry, as with many, is that peak hour traffic congestion requires a serious improvement. I believe this improvement contributes to meeting the overall high standard of the area.

Certain older roads and footpaths require more maintenance, and parking near commercial areas is a nightmare. Nevertheless, I would not replace Jayanagar with any other location.

It was my dream to live in Jayanagar, since I’m an original born and brought up product of Bangalore. We have seen that clean and quiet city in our childhood, and I always wanted a neighbourhood to invest in when the family finally wanted to buy a home and stop renting. Jayanagar was close to our original rental accommodation, and the neighbourhood kind of grows on you, with its charming roads, some of the loveliest houses you’ll see in Bangalore, the trees, greenery, and the overall community vibe. Once you’ve lived here, you’ll not want to stay anywhere else, although traffic jams and commercial development are now a slight issue, with so many retail outlets and cafes coming up.

So, living in Jayanagar was honestly very peaceful. I’m not happy that I had to move out for work-related reasons. The area was ideal for morning walks, with all the trees and some of the buildings were a treat to watch and even photograph. It was vintage Bangalore during my time here, without the heavy traffic. Also, my parents were ageing, and hence we thought that easy connectivity to the Manipal Hospital would help. Colleges were coming up and many commercial zones, making it a lively neighborhood.

My parents still live here, and they complain that road maintenance needs to be better, since there are potholes in many places. Also, the markets are very crowded, and traffic congestion has gone up due to more restaurants and all.

Negatives: I notice some drawbacks, such as increasing property and rental prices, which made it expensive to stay. Also, traffic and busy market streets were occasionally stressful, and some areas had poor cleanliness and scattered civic maintenance. Despite these drawbacks, I departed with fond memories of peaceful streets, friendly neighbours and convenient shopping nearby, and would happily be back one day.

Negatives: There are some roads that are in a damaged condition, particularly during rains potholes, cracked footpaths, insufficient drainage causes waterlogging in low lying blocks. Traffic jam is also a major problem during peak times, particularly near the shopping area and main roads. Parking area is extremely scarce which worsens the situation.

Positives: I truly like the combination of old-world charm and contemporary living here. The avenues lined with trees and parks are quiet, and I enjoy visiting nearby markets and small restaurants. Schools, hospitals, and shopping malls are just around the corner, and traveling to work is convenient with the metro and key roads such as Bannerghatta Road and Outer Ring Road. Negatives: But there are a couple of negatives. It is more expensive to rent here compared to the rest of Bangalore, and there can be a great deal of traffic on peak hours. Some roads are narrow and busy, and there are not many nightlife spots. Sometimes water supply is irregular. Nevertheless, the greenery, accessibility, and lively community make Jayanagar a nice place to live, and I am comfortable here.

Even with such minor issues, I am extremely genuinely content living here, the peaceful residential streets and convenient facilities render Jayanagar a warm, sensible, secure and welcoming home for my family.

Negatives: What I don’t like is how the area is steadily getting commercialized with more shops, cafes, and other establishments. It is losing its charm as one of those posh residential areas in Bangalore. Loads of traffic on the weekends are another issue, particularly around the markets.

Positives: I loved staying in Jayanagar as it retained with all the modern facilities. Greenery and peace were offered by tree lined roads and parks like Nandavana Children's Park. Schools such as RV Public School and hospitals like BGS Gleneagles were nearly, so daily life was easily managed. Options for shopping varied from local markets to malls and boutiques. Bannerghatta Road, Outer Ring Road and metro facilitated travel. Negatives: I really concern about the traffic jams were frequent, particularly during rush hours. Property rental and sale prices were fairly high. A few inner roads were narrow and not well maintained. Noise and periodic congestion around business centers were common. In general, living in this place weighed lifestyle comforts against city bustle.

The traffic at rush hour is a total pain, and many of the older homes and apartments are kind of dated. And some of the footpaths are in really poor condition, which is annoying. Nevertheless, the good definitely outweighs the bad.

The close location of the metro and the big shopping complex made it a clincher; it meant that I had from grocery stores to luxury stores right outside my doorstep. It was a serene place despite all the hustle and bustle, and that old-world ambiance was certainly present. Negatives: The area has come a long way. I did feel the old charm was being lost gradually with all the new commercial complexes and apartment buildings being constructed around. That also caused some serious parking and traffic problems, and the dust from all the constructions was a big issue.

Positives: I must say, investing in a property in Jayanagar was one of the best decisions I ever took. It is a great place to bring up a family, with so much green space in the form of parks and best schools within reach. The neighborhood has all that I require under one roof. It is a renowned shopping mall, with excellent restaurants and even best hospitals, adding to a very high level of living. Connectivity is great, particularly with the metro on the Green Line. I adore this location. Negatives Just prepare to invest more. The cost of property here is in proportion with the absolute comfort and ease this area offers.

Positives: Jayanagar is somewhere that I always suggest. I view it as the best-planned locality in Bangalore. It has this great combination of old-world charm with broad, tree-lined roads, and all the mod cons clients require. Metro connectivity is a big plus, so it's convenient to move around in the city. Everybody has great local markets, such as the Jayanagar 4th Block Complex, and some of the highest-rated schools and hospitals. This location is ideal for families. The overall vibe is quiet and serene, a nice breath of fresh air. Negatives The only actual problem I have noticed is that with all the established development, there are not a lot of new large-scale apartment developments on the horizon. Additionally, the prices for property are quite steep.

Positives: I have good feelings about investing in property here. Jayanagar is a wonderful, well-designed locality with plenty of broad, tree-lined roads, which I personally like. The connectivity via metro is superb, with easy commute all over the city. Everything is within reach, from the popular 4th Block shopping complex to all top schools and hospitals. It's a quiet area, family-friendly neighbourhood with huge rental demand, so it's a good bet. Negatives: I have to say the location is pretty pricey. I also think the surroundings could be tidied up in certain areas, and sometimes the water supply is a little unreliable.

Positives: I have been residing in Jayanagar for some months, and it's a very comfortable place to live. The locality is full of parks such as Nandavana and Rain Water Harvesting Park, and very good schools such as National College and RV Public School. Nearby hospitals are BGS Gleneagles and Apollo Cradle. Shopping is convenient with local bazaars and shopping malls. The metro station provides an added convenience. Negatives: I believe rent and property costs are more expensive than in a lot of other regions, and some roads are too congested on weekends.

Positives: I like very much old trees on both sides of numerous roads, and quiet residential blocks. Shopping is convenient with Jayanagar Shopping Complex, lots of small boutiques, and nice restaurants. Public transport is good. Negatives: But some roads are disintegrating, particularly in 5th Block close to 11th Main, with rainwater leakage in drains and waterlogging along several low-lying roads.

Positives: I reside in Jayanagar. Peaceful with tree-lined roads, robust shopping at Jayanagar Shopping Complex, and convenient metro or bus connectivity. Lalbagh and local parks are within walking distance from my place. Negatives: Peak hour traffic and partly damaged roads and drainage contribute to waterlogging. Property costs are more expensive, and I hope more hospitals and schools were still required.

Positives: Living in this area is wonderful. Jayanagar is a planned, old residential colony with great connectivity. I enjoy the shopping facilities at 4th Block and the neighboring greenery of Lalbagh Botanical Garden. Negatives: Traffic during rush hours can be really bad, which is the biggest drawback. The rental rates and prices of property are relatively high, and at times there might be problems with water supply.

I live in 1st block jayanagar. Wide roads with lush green Lalbugh. Always you find a difference in weather compared to rest of the areas. Jayanagar is a real Refreshing place. Cosmos, multi cousins. Lovely place to live.Jayanagar is best known for its planned city for residence. It is well thought of by inclusion of best schools, hospitals, offices and shopping centers. Buses connectivity is one of the major advantages. It is a fantastic place to stay because it has good hospitals,schools,wide roads,and a well planned layout.it os immensely popular because of the jayanagar shopping complex, bus stand,many branded showrooms,jewelleries stores, saree shops ,availability of all items&services,vegetable market,restaurants, etc.The disappointment here is cleanliness is very low in this area.It is the most difficult part to find the negative points of the Locality.There are many ongoing projects in the Locality due to which it can be considered as one of the most expensive area in the whole Bangalore.

It is a good locality for living in Bangalore. I live in a PG in this locality for my study. I appreciate its good connections to many educational institutions, schools, and colleges. Jayanagar has a commendable transport facility. Hospitals and healthcare centers are available nearby. It's a place that has almost everything nearby, like banks, ATMs, clothing stores, markets, grocery stores, etc. I feel very safe in this locality.

I love this place for various reasons. Jayanagar is well connected with Bangalore's commercial hubs and IT sectors. It is quite a safe place as the crime ratio is to other parts of Bangalore. Police patrolling is also regular at night. It has good road connectivity to different significant destinations in Bangalore. The roads of the locality are well maintained. The BMTC provides frequent bus service as a primary commute option here. Also, educational institutes and hospitals are within easy reach.

In my experience living in Jayanagar, I have never faced a problem of insecurity. There are always people to help and care for you. The locality has the Metro Green Line station, reachable in 15 minutes. The closest railway stations are the Bangalore City Junction and the Bangalore Cantt. Sudarshan Vidya Mandir and Huda National Schools are some reputed schools situated there. Many banks are available there. But many areas are prone to water logging after heavy showers in there.

Jayanagar is a well-known locality of Bangalore city. It has many well-known Universities and schools. The South End Circle and Ashoka Pillar are the famous tourist attractions near this locality. I get markets and supermarkets for my daily needs. I get various eateries in this area for a fine dining experience. Roads are well maintained in this area. I find Auto-rickshaws easily in the area's local navigation. The traffic problem is very common in this area for busy roads.

Jayanagar is an affluent residential locality. It is a shopper's paradise in Bangalore. It used to be known as the southern end of Bangalore. It is well connected with Bangalore's employment and Business and IT Parks. The locality has reputed schools and colleges within easy reach and several hospitals to cover medical emergencies. Bangalore Central Mall and Gopalan Innovation mall are my favorite mall nearby. It has good road connectivity to different significant destinations in Bangalore.
