Positives: I stayed in this area for a brief while, and I enjoyed its developing atmosphere. The local train at Mira Road station and several buses facilitated easy travelling to Mumbai and Thane. Accommodation was affordable compared to core Mumbai, with a lot of new apartment complexes and bustling markets and good local stores for essentials. Schools, clinics and small shopping malls were just around the corner. I also had the pleasure of morning walks along Vasai Creek and the neighbourhood parks. Negatives: The drawbacks were three: heavy traffic and long peak-hour delays; regular waterlogging of low-lying pockets during the monsoon; and civic services occasionally lagging behind fast construction, resulting in irregular roads and waste concerns. Nevertheless, I departed with practical memories of neighbourly assistance, and it was appropriate for a brief practical sojourn.
Positives: I completely like that all the essentials are here close by good schools as Podar Intl, N.L. Dalmia, hospitals, malls & shopping close by. Connectivity is also good, we have Mira Road railway station, plenty of bus routes, and the Western Express Highway nearby, which makes it easy for people to commute. Plus, property prices are lower than in central Mumbai, so you get more bang for your buck. Negatives: In the monsoon, drainage is also an issue, waterlogging occurs on low lying roads, and journeys become messy. Moreover, traffic in peak hours is congested heavily, particularly at toll plazas around Dahisar, and some inner roads towards Thane are narrow which leads to a slowdown.
Positives: I am very satisfied with the ambiance here. The area has nice rail and bus connectivity, so commutation to Mumbai is convenient. I like going to the Sunday market for reasonable shopping, and there are a few parks like Ramdev Park to unwind in the evenings. Schools and multi-specialty hospitals in the vicinity make it extremely convenient for daily living. Negatives: But there are some negatives. Roads to Thane become narrow and traffic heavy, and air pollution is evident. No 5-star restaurants or veterinary clinics are in the vicinity, and drainage can be an issue during monsoons. For all these, the greenery and proximity to shopping centers make Mira Road a pleasant place to reside, and I'm happy I made the choice.
Positives: I will be honest about my experience here- Mira Road is actually very well-connected and affordable. These are the two things that brought me here. You can still purchase homes at competitive prices in the mid-budget range. Many apartments and gated societies are present in the area with decent amenities. Also, the Western Express Highway connectivity is very good, while the railway station is also there. There are many projects that they are working on here, including the Coastal Road extension to lower travel time and also the upcoming Metro Line 9 to link Mira-Bhayander and Dahisar East. Once these projects happen, it will be a great thing for the locality. Negatives: There are many street vendors who take up the entire footpath space. They should be removed and regulated. Traffic jams are also an issue in the evening.
Positives: When I closed on my flat in Mira Road, I felt I had found a practical Mumbai home. Being an owner, I value good rail and road connectivity, a bustling local market and malls, nearby good schools and hospitals, increasing rental demand, and better infrastructure with the coming Metro line which will reduce commute time. Property prices are reasonable compared to many western suburbs, so it feels like an intelligent investment. Negatives: Certain areas within the area experience waterlogging in heavy monsoon rains. Certain sections also experience construction noise due to new developments expanding. Despite that, the convenience and value of the neighbourhood keep me extremely content living here. I love evening strolls around nearby parks; cheerful neighbours keep me grounded and cheerful.
Positives: I appreciated that Mira Road had plenty of amenities, there were good schools and colleges nearby, and some hospitals such as Bhaktivedanta Hospital, Umrao Hospital nearly. There were good shopping and entertainment options at Thakur Mall and Maxus Mall. Also, there are nice Ramdev Park. With proximity to Mira Road Station, the Western Express Highway, and buses, traveling to other areas was convenient. Negatives: But there were downsides as well. Junctions to Thane or major junctions were usually narrow and jammed. Public transport within Mira Road wasn't necessarily regular or comfortable buses occasionally got stuck or packed. Then, some lifestyle essentials were absent, no fish market in the area, no 5 star eateries almost.
Positives: I reside in Mira Road and pay rent for a small 1BHK near the station. The Mira Road local train provides me with direct connectivity to Mumbai western suburbs, and buses connect me to Thane and other nearby areas. There are good hospitals such as Wockhardt, schools, supermarkets and new residential developments within reach. Everyday grocery shopping, inexpensive eating options and medical facilities are also within reach. Negatives: Detractors include congested main roads during rush hours, parking deficiencies, and intermittent monsoon waterlogging in low-lying areas. Overall, the area is alive, sensible and good value for tenants seeking city proximity without central Mumbai prices, and warm locals as well, and it is changing.
Positives: I have a house here and I appreciate the reasonable prices, stable rental market and plenty of new developments in the locality and good civic amenities. Local shops, malls and schools are accessible, and the Western Line railway and future metro enhance my journey convenience. Road connectivity to the Western Express Highway renders commuting to Mumbai and Thane feasible, and the airport is roughly twenty to twenty-five kilometres away. Negatives: Traffic on the major roads is congested during peak hours, and parking is always an issue. Some zones experience congestion and sporadic drainage when it rains during monsoon. Lastly, sections of the area are still congested and do not have upscale healthcare or entertainment relative to central Mumbai.
