About Colaba, Mumbai

Given that it is one of Mumbai's four peninsulas, the other three being Bandra, Worli, and Malabar Hill, Colaba has a distinct place in the city.

The region's history begins under Portuguese dominance, then after wars with Britain, British rule is established. It doesn't look back after that and has continued to develop.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Phase 2B of Mumbai Metro Line-3, completing the entire Aqua Line. This 33.5 km underground line with 27 stations connects Colaba to SEEPZ and is expected to cater to 13 lakh passengers daily. The project provides seamless connectivity to heritage sites and financial hubs, integrating with other transport modes and aiming to significantly reduce travel times across the city.
