Pune-Nashik Highway Project: Land Acquisition to be Fast-Tracked for ₹7,827-Crore Elevated Corridor

MLA Mahesh Landge has directed officials to expedite land acquisition for the Pune-Nashik Highway widening and elevated corridor project. The ₹7,827 crore project includes a 30-km, eight-lane elevated corridor and widening of the existing highway. This initiative is expected to ease traffic congestion in Pimpri-Chinchwad region especially.

The Pune Municipal Corporation's general body has approved proposals for extending the Pune Metro to peripheral areas. New routes from Khadakwasla to Donaje, Katraj to Khed Shivapur, Katraj to Undri, and Wagholi to Lonikand have been sanctioned. These extensions are expected to improve connectivity to Sinhagad Fort, the proposed outer ring road, and newly developing areas.

Pune Metro Network to Expand to Nearly 200 km, Addressing Traffic Congestion

CM Devendra Fadnavis announced that Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad, and the Pune Metropolitan region will soon have a nearly 200 km Metro network. Currently, about 33 km of the metro network is operational, & 55 km in construction phase ,with further additions planned.
