Maharashtra Cabinet Committee has approved the revised cost of ₹10,502.36 crore for the eastern extension of the Pune Ring Road. This 31.805-km controlled-access expressway aims to divert traffic away from Pune city. With 80% of land acquisition complete, the project is slated for completion by June 2029

The 1,080-meter long flyover will cater to traffic between Kharadi and Mundhwa and has been planned considering the alignment of a proposed metro line.
