  • The engineering department is majorly focused on executing multiple development related schemes throughout the layouts while also building requisite infrastructure. It supervises water supply implementation and underground drainage work throughout BDA layouts which is done by BWSSB. The electrification activities of BESCOM are also supervised by this department.
  • The town planning department holds responsibility for preparing and revising the Master Plan for Bengaluru Metropolitan Area, preparing the Layout plans, approving the Development Plans for Layouts and Group Housing Schemes and also assists authorities with regard to functioning as the Bengaluru Planning Authority.
  • The Land Acquisition Department functions in close liaison with the Engineering Department for acquiring land needed for implementing various development related schemes.

  • EDP Cell holds responsibility for computerizing all records and offices of the BDA.

BDA Online Property Tax Payments

In the year 2018, as a part of its initiative to ensure easier business functioning, online property tax facilities were introduced for apartments and site owners within the aegis of the BDA (Bangalore Development Authority).   • Upon the following page, enter the email ID, phone number and click on Submit.
  • On the landing page coming up now, enter the OTP sent to your email ID or phone and then click on Submit. The page that comes up now will have all details of the property while showing the due taxation amount that is payable.
  • Choose the tax amount and then go to the payment option. Choose the payment mode, i.e. debit card, net banking, credit card, etc.
  • Once the transaction has been completed successfully, choose Print Receipt for getting a paid receipt copy.
