NITI Aayog has released a roadmap for urban governance reforms aimed at addressing common issues faced by urban residents and homebuyers, such as delayed building approvals, irregular water supply, and project delays. Bengaluru has climbed to 8th position globally in the fastest-growing luxury housing markets, experiencing a 9.4% y-o-y price increase. This surge, detailed in Knight Frank's Wealth Report 2026, is attributed to India's expanding ultra-wealthy population. Despite a depreciating rupee, rise in prime property prices has reduced the purchasable space for $1 million in Bengaluru to 357 sq. m., a 3.5% decline from the previous year.

Karnataka's IT exports are projected to surpass ₹5.5 lakh crore, indicating robust growth in the technology sector. This economic expansion is likely to fuel further demand for commercial and residential real estate, particularly in IT hubs, and potentially lead to job creation and infrastructure development to support the sector's growth.
