The project is about to be spread across the country for the rural and urban poor by 31st March 2022. On this day the nation will celebrate its 75th Independence Day.

The central government intends to build cooperation with real estate builders to create affordable homes that would be based on eco-friendly technology. For MIG 1 and 2, the last date is 31st March 2019. It will be under the credit-linked subsidy scheme. PMAY 2019-20 has two parts namely Urban and Gramin.

The credit linked subsidy scheme is on home loans only for the properties in the urban areas. It will benefit people who are in the category of the economically weaker or low-income group and middle-income group. It is made sure that all the houses are pucca, have toilets and electricity and gas connection under Ujjwala scheme.
