They also say that government laws and rules are often reinterpreted to protect a developer's interests and that urban expansion can still harm the ecology of a particular area.
• Hyderabad's city expansion has made it one of the most sought-after investment destinations in the country but the natural ecosystem has suffered a lot. This includes Khajaguda, where the green cover has shrunk significantly.
• While the rapid development in the real estate industry has led to an increase in the price of property in the vicinity, it has also destroyed the natural environment. For instance, the green cover of the hills has been destroyed as the area is being developed. 

However, the government of Telangana has taken up the challenge and has issued notices to the developers in this area to stop them from destroying the rock formations. Several people have come together called Society to Save the Rocks. It is a group of activists and climbers who want to protect the site. A high court in the city has issued notices against the developers in the matter.

The physical infrastructure in Khajaguda, Hyderabad has undergone several changes in the past few years. This is due to the increasing demand for affordable housing in the city.
