It is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion and reduce travel time by 10-15 minutes, eliminating the need for detours via Sanpada. The project addresses a key gap in Navi Mumbai's road network, improving connectivity and overall planning.

Navi Mumbai Metro Line 8 Alignment Finalized to Link Airports

The metro will pass through Vashi, Sanpada and Juinagar along the Sion–Panvel Highway.
