I stayed for a short time in Kandivali West and found the surroundings friendly and useful. Daily commute was made simple by Kandivali station's local trains. Commutes were reduced by roads like Link Road and the Western Express Highway. Weekend strolls nearby Sanjay Gandhi National Park and little local parks appealed to me. With malls, markets, and local stores close at hand, shopping was easy. Good schools, restaurants, and friendly nearby vendors made life really pleasant. Accessible were Kandivali and nearby Goregaon offices and commercial hubs. Close by several multispeciality hospitals and clinics ensured dependable healthcare. The area struck me as grounded and secure. The fast fusion of city convenience and natural surroundings was my best feature. Parking and traffic management during peak hours required some work.

Kandivali West is a lovely, seasoned area with a real community feel not found everywhere in Mumbai. Excellent safety precautions including police patrols and bright street illumination have me very comfortable. The fantastic shopping and entertainment access, especially near Mahavir Nagar and Raghuleela Mall, where everything is only minutes away, is my favorite feature. For daily travels, the linking through S.V. Road, Link Road, and Kandivali station is excellent. Filled with excellent hospitals and schools, the neighborhood is quite family-friendly. But the heavy traffic congestion at major intersections during rush hour, which can impede all else, absolutely begs consideration. I highly recommended this area to living.

Positive: Kandivali West presents the ideal Mumbai renter experience. Andheri or Goregaon are made easy by how close the Kandivali train station and the new Metro route are. From Namaha to all the retail options and the vibrant Mahavir Nagar food scene, I find great pleasure in how jam-packed this area is with basics from top-notch hospitals. The well-lit streets give me a sense of security even late at night.

Negative: The peak-hour traffic around the railway station is a major choke point and has to have more effective flow management. it's a daily time-sink. Since waterlogging during the strong monsoon season causes a rather mess, the civic body should fix the existing drainage system.

Positive: Kandivali West facilitated easy connectivity, connecting well to the Western Express Highway and having good transportation with its railway station and metro line. Essential facilities were available aplenty-schools such as Kapol Vidyanidhi and hospitals like Arusha Hospital. I also liked the fact that it had Kamala Vihar Jogger's Park, which was good for some greenery. Property prices were somewhat reasonable compared to some other more developed western suburbs.

Negatives: A major recurring problem was localized issues of waterlogging during the heavy monsoon season, which often hampered local movement. In addition, there were frequent reports of petty crimes like chain snatching and harassment, making some areas less than safe, particularly during nighttime.

Positives: I have been residing in Kandivali West and I enjoy the convenience of traveling through the railway station on the Western Line and the new Mumbai Metro Line 2A station nearby. I adore the parks and green pockets spread here and there in the locality and the nearby hospitals such as Shivam Hospital and Chavan Hospital.

Negatives: The traffic on Link Road and near the railway station worsens extremely during rush hours and slows down what was otherwise supposed to be a quick ride. Furthermore, during heavy monsoons some of the lanes close to Charkop do get waterlogged because drainage is poor.

I find Kandivali West really good as a locality. If you think of connectivity, there is the metro and railway access nearby, along with so many social amenities. We have reputed schools, banks, hospitals, markets, and malls within a very short radius. Also, the development of numerous residential projects has completely transformed the neighbourhood in the recent years. Of course, crowds, congestion, and high pollution are some factors that should be highlighted in terms of the issues. Yet, access and social infrastructure make it one of the top places to live in, if you do not want to pay a huge amount for your home.

Kandivali West ticks almost all the boxes that I can think of. Of course, the metro station is nearby, while the railway station is also pretty accessible. Another plus point is that the housing options are widely available here. I’m so happy that my extended family members could also invest in mid-range and affordable homes here, a little after we moved in. Many good residential societies are also present here, while social amenities are also readily available nearby.

One issue that I can highlight in this regard, is how there is increasing traffic congestion during the peak hours. This should be planned and fixed by the civic authorities.

I will personally give full marks to Kandivali West. This locality is excellent for staying in Mumbai without compromising on your budget. The metro station access is there, along with quick connections to the Western Express Highway and the Link Road. This makes commuting so easy, while the railway station is also present here. I feel that connectivity-wise, it is one of the top destinations, since the prices are affordable in comparison to several other so-called posh Mumbai localities. All the necessary social infrastructure is there within a short distance as well. The only problem I have faced here is the waterlogging during the monsoons.

Positives: The railway station is just within walking distance, and the accessibility to S.V. Road and Link Road makes going to any corner of the city very convenient. It's special because it's like a throbbing, self-contained town with good schools and hospitals all around. I feel secure and enjoy the lively market scene.

Negatives: The only thing that irks me consistently is the problem of safety, particularly for ladies in the night. I'm seriously concerned and it requires immediate police action. Furthermore, some inner areas and small roads experience perennial traffic congestion and parking issues. During the monsoon, waterlogging occurs on a large scale in some areas.

I personally love the experience of staying in Kandivali West. The metro station is present here, while both the Link Road and Highway are also easy to access. I also take the train from the railway station at times. From Ryan International School to Cambridge, many reputed institutions are present in the vicinity, while top healthcare centers are also present here. Raghuleela Mall and many other shopping centers can be accessed within just 10-15 minutes from the neighborhood. However, waterlogging is one of the biggest issues faced by people here, followed by traffic jams. Otherwise, the area is developing into a coveted residential location.

Positives: I believe that this region is one of the top locales of the Western Suburbs, with relatively modest rents compared to its neighbors. I believe its accessibility is great through the nearby railway and broad streets such as the Western Express Highway. I noticed that the region is very vibrant during nighttime, has excellent social amenities with numerous schools and hospitals, and overall is extremely safe because of frequent police patrols.

Negatives: I must add that insufficient public transport beyond the main road network causes great inconvenience. I found that waterlogging is a big problem during monsoon season. I believe certain areas in the area are unsafe zones, as chain snatching and harassment cases are unfortunately reported in secluded blind spots.

Kandivali West is a good place to stay, considering how the beachside lifestyle is not very far away. Marve Beach is accessible within 20 minutes, and you can also hang out at the Infiniti Mall (only 10 minutes away), like we do regularly. At the same time, Goregaon and Malad are both accessible from here, along with the employment hotspots that these places contain. I also like how several cafes, restaurants, shopping hubs, and healthcare centres are present in the surrounding zones. You also get the railway station and major roads for smoother connectivity.

The only issue, in my opinion, is the absence of green cover in the locality. The eastern part of Kandivali is greener. Also, waterlogging during the monsoons is another problem worth highlighting in this regard.

It is one of the most affordable and value-for-money suburbs of Mumbai with nicely maintained main roads and competitive property rates. We have fantastic rail connectivity on the Western Line and convenient access to both the Western Express Highway as well as the soon-to-be-launched Metro Line 2A, making traveling so much quicker, particularly towards BKC, Andheri, and Goregaon for office. The availability of Kamala Vihar Jogger's Park and being in close proximity to Sanjay Gandhi National Park provides essential green cover, while basic social facilities such as Raghuleela Mall, premium schools, and Shivam Hospital are also in the vicinity. Nonetheless, though the locality is well illuminated, the locals often complain about chain snatching, and we have water logging during the rainy season that requires improved drainage.

Kandivali West is where I have been staying for quite some time now. And I can safely tell you that it is a very safe locality. I come back from my office many times at night, and it is as peaceful and secure as can be. So that’s a major plus point. At the same time, my workplace in Powai is less than 40 minutes away through the JVLR. This is our main connectivity lifeline, and there are many other connectivity advantages, like the railway network. The entire Andheri stretch is also easily accessible, along with all the amenities in these places.

Noise and dust pollution are key issues in the area, along with peak traffic congestion.

I mean, whenever you see all the residential complexes and local markets, you will notice how friendly everyone is, and how the local vibe is infectiously positive! Multiple shopping centres, cafes, and gyms are available in the neighbourhood, while reputed healthcare centres are also nearby. Connectivity-wise, the SV Road and the Link Road are the big lifelines worth considering, while the Kandivali railway station is also a major hotspot for commutes.

This part of the locality does not have a lot of green cover, unlike the eastern half of the area, which is closer to the Sanjay Gandhi National Park.

Kandivali West is a good place to live in, considering its strategic location. So, for starters, I am a frequent visitor to the Infiniti Mall in Malad West. It is just 9-10 minutes away from my home in Kandivali West by car. This is a major advantage for me, since I am more of the shopping mall type who prefers lounging around. Also, the Marve Beach is about 17-20 minutes away from the locality. This is a good place to relax and watch the sunset each day. My workplace in Goregaon is also pretty accessible from Kandivali West. So, everything is sorted for me, at least.

As a owner I always suggest Kandivali West for its excellent connectivity to key regions such as BKC and Goregaon through the Western Express Highway. The region providing excellent value for money when compared with other Western Suburbs, and the infrastructure is highly developed with great hospitals and educational institutions in proximity. The proximity of the Kandivali Railway Station and future metro routes makes travel convenient, while the overall civic social infrastructure hums with shopping centers and nightlife. The only single big plus for civic development in the future that requires attention is the safety perception of residents, which needs to be improved through more security and regular police patrols.

I was staying in Kandivali West for several years before I ultimately shifted to another place. One of the good things about this area is its well-developed social amenities, including the restaurants, stores, and schools like Ryan International. Many hospitals like Seven Star are also present here, while Mahavir Nagar and Evershine Dream Park are also well-connected to the neighbourhood, which are key shopping spots. The Kandivali West metro station is the main connectivity lifeline (Yellow Line 2A). The SV Road is also accessible from here, along with the Link Road and the Kandivali railway station. I also noticed how safe the locality is, something that was always a guarantee of mental peace.

Traffic jams are a key issue in the locality, while another complaint I have is that the western part of the locality does not have as much green cover as the eastern part.

Positives: I've been a renter in Kandivali West and totally endorse it. The connectivity is unmatched, being literally next to the Link Road and the station, so my commute is a breeze. We have all that a family requires good schools, Raghuleela Mall, and Charkop industrial area is nearby for business. And besides, the vibrant community is excellent, and Kamala Vihar Jogger's Park provides a pleasant green touch.

Negatives: The worst bother is the extreme traffic jams near Link Road during rush hour, and accessing regular parking proves difficult most of the time. Secondly, the city drainage has to be improved as monsoon waterlogging is simply frustrating. Otherwise, a wonderful place to settle down.
