Madipakkam is a well-connected and affordable residential area in South Chennai, popular among middle-class families and IT professionals due to its proximity to OMR and Velachery. Residents appreciate the calm atmosphere, lake views, and access to essential amenities like hospitals and schools. However, it struggles with traffic congestion, waterlogging, and infrastructure limitations like narrow roads and inconsistent water supply, particularly during monsoon season.

Madipakkam has a delighted small tenant in me. The quiet atmosphere and the distinctiveness of the lake scene appeal to me. I'm a very joyful owner here, and I want to emphasise the upbeat residential ambience. My experience is that Madipakkam is a good place because of the calm surroundings and welcoming residents. One major advantage for families is the abundance of CBSE institutions such as Prince Matriculation. Here, the land value is increasing somewhat, in my view.
Things to ConsiderNegatives:
Nevertheless, I have seen few playgrounds and public parks for children in the central regions. Another drawback is the sluggish pace of the underground sewage work in some areas. PositivesFor middle-class families in Chennai, I advise Madipakkam, as I think it's the most realistic choice. Its uniqueness comes from its nearness to Velachery and the OMR IT complex. For convenient transportation, I advise utilizing the nearby St. Thomas Mount metro and Velachery train station. Madipakkam is a very nice and beautiful locality. All basic amenities like hospitals, schools, colleges, and markets are available nearby. Nice Locality. The locality has near-prime areas Schools, Colleges, supermarkets, hospitals, Temples, Railway stations, etc. The GREEN LINE is the first Metro that goes to Madipakkam in Mambalam Gundy. Due to this metro work the roads are very bad to drive and also due to metro work there is heavy traffic and cant even walk on the roads and nowadays for small rain all roads are flooded and buses count is also low right now most of the shops are closed due to the metro work.
Madipakkam is a well-developed thickly populated Residential Location in Chennai Corporation. The Location Ram Nagar South is a Quiet calm Area well connected with Bus and Train Network. Ideal Place for Peaceful living.Madipakkam is one of the Well developed Suburban locations in Chennai and Now it comes under the Greater Chennai corporation limit. Like Chennai city, you will get Metro water, Underground Sewage system and All. All the Leading Schools are close by from this Location and Velachery MRTS is Just 1.5kms away. You have everything that you need in this locality.Good water facility , Good transport facility, railway station and bus stand are near , excellent road facilities, good environment to live.I don't have much more dislikes about this place, few of them are due to metro work there is heavy traffic.
