The New Garia-Airport Metro Link is set to connect New Garia to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport. Three new metro rail services are set to be unveiled: the Noapara–Jai Hind Bimanbandar corridor to the international airport, the Sealdah–Esplanade line connecting the city center, and the Beleghata–Hemanta Mukhopadhyay route improving access to the IT hub. The airport metro link from Noapara to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport is expected to begin service by July 2025, and plans are underway to extend the Purple Line metro to Eden Gardens, the Green Line metro to Teghoria, and the Yellow Line metro to New Barrackpore. By 2026, Kolkata Metro will induct a total of 131 new rakes. The upcoming launches include the 2.6 km Esplanade–Sealdah segment of the Green Line (East-West Metro's final stretch), the 7 km Noapara–Airport corridor on the Yellow Line (its first operational phase), and the 4.5 km Ruby–Metropolitan link on the Orange Line's Phase II.

I am pleased to have Kolkata's Salt Lake City house. With tidy roadways, green parks, and well-organized sectors, this is among the most well-designed and tranquil areas of the city. Broad highways, good drainage, and continual electricity define the infrastructure, which is superb. Traveling to the IT hub or central Kolkata is rather easy as the neighborhood is linked easily to the Bidhannagar and Sector V Metro stations. Within easy reach are hospitals such AMRI and ILS as well as well-known institutions such Salt Lake School and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. Here, security is great; the atmosphere feels peaceful and family-friendly. If anything could improve, it would be providing more evening activity choices for young professionals.

I call Salt Lake my home and find walks in Central Park pleasurable. Working and fast reach offices with the Salt Lake Sector V metro. Daily life is easy as nearby are schools, markets, and malls. Apollo Gleneagles and nearby clinics provide quick medical assistance. Family-friendly and safe neighborhood felt locally. Green belts and lakes offer peaceful weekends as well as play spaces for kids. Compared to central Kolkata, my family benefits from affordable rents. More regular feeder buses linking inner areas with metro stops would be welcome. I really and warmly suggest Salt Lake as a secure and functional house.

I am a broker advising buyers and investors to Salt Lake City. Because Sector V is the IT hub for the city, the planned township draws IT experts. Metro links to key lines and the East-West thoroughfare, thus reducing commuting in Salt Lake Sector V and Central Park. Road connections and Karunamoyee bus terminals provide choices for travel. Multispecialty and emergency care are offered by hospitals like Apollo Gleneagles and Manipal. Families get green space in Central Park and adjoining lakes. Daily necessities are supported by excellent schools and retail. Because of the existence of colleges and offices, rental demand and resale values are still strong. One way to get better is by building more mid-segment housing for the workforce. For investment, I advise Salt Lake.

The main USP is that it's a well-known, high-end planned town with broad streets and a green setting something special. The main advantage is the great metro connection. The Salt Lake Sector V Metro Station is nearby, enabling me effortlessly to other areas of the city. High safety is in place. City Centre Mall is right here for fun. Among the neighbouring institutions are the AMRI Hospitals, which are renowned for their quality. The premium location here is mirrored in the high rental costs. For improvement, my two main areas are that some internal roads require better maintenance and that older residential buildings typically lack integrated trash recycling systems.

Salt Lake City, in Kolkata, is among the most well-balanced and top neighborhoods to live or invest in. I always advise my customers. With its intended town planning, immaculate roads, and abundance of trees, this area's USP is peaceful yet well connected. It links easily to EM Bypass, Sector V, and New Town from the center of the city, with Salt Lake Stadium and Karunamoyee metro stations close by. Near are prestigious hospitals like Columbia Asia and AMRI as well as schools such Delhi Public School. Central Park and City Centre Mall offer daily living and enjoyment easy. The region is safe and offers consistent rental returns. Better waste management and updating existing infrastructure, though, would make it yet better.

I bought a property there because Salt Lake City has a rare mix of orderly design, good connectivity, and green surroundings. I believe well-positioned with the metro, adequate roads, and near airport and IT-parks. Though contemporary, the neighbourhood seems settled; I appreciate how I can step out and still return to quiet tree-lined streets. After a hectic day, my favourite thing is to unwind by the lake in Central Park. Better traffic flow at rush hours on primary roads and more consistent control and safety in last-mile vehicles are two items I would want to see improved. Still, I quite advise Salt Lake as a place to buy and live.

Positives: Salt Lake City's established, laid-back atmosphere really appealed to me. Central Park and those lovely tree-lined avenues made this an absolutely meticulously created region. Travel was made very simple because of the Sector V Metro and nearby EM Bypass. Being next to great hospitals like AMRI and Apollo meant everything was nearby. I found the rental price here to be very good and clearly steady.

Negative

Negatives: The major concern was the extreme waterlogging in my block during the heavy monsoon rains. The drainage network required repair. Obtaining last-mile transportation, such as an e-rickshaw in the evening, was sometimes inconsistent and difficult. Especially the drainage, the antiquated internal infrastructure really has to be modernised immediately.

Positives: Salt Lake City has been my home for a good amount of time, and all-around it's a beautiful and well-planned suburb. Daily life is made easier by the lushness, parks, and peaceful surroundings. Everything is simple when City Centre Mall, restaurants, and banks are nearby. The healthcare and education infrastructure is dependable, and the metro at Sector V makes it easier to travel.

Negative

Negatives: I believe, nevertheless, that a few things like faster maintenance of municipal services, increased street aesthetics, and improved night-time illumination in some districts can be better. Salt Lake is still among the most attractive and safe cities to live in Kolkata despite these little required changes.

Positives: Staying here in Salt Lake City seems like the ultimate way to live. Broad, green roadways characterize this meticulously designed region. Job prospects are excellent from proximity to the Sector V IT center. Particularly the Sector V station, the newly built East-West Metro provides incredible communication. Top hospitals like Apollo and well-known colleges are readily reachable. Here too my investment offers constant rental yields.

Negative

Negatives: I have a few challenges here notwithstanding all the wonderful things I accomplish. Traffic surrounding Sector V's commercial district is severe. I have also seen that some of the older, low-lying blocks still become quite waterlogged during the monsoon. The civic body absolutely needs improved drainage systems here.

Positives: Being in Salt Lake, a well-known and advanced section of Kolkata, has been fantastic. Here an owner benefits from a great location with excellent infrastructure, particularly the vast, grid-pattern roadways and close proximity to the Sector V IT centre. With great schools, excellent hospitals, and the Central Park all around, the area offers its people a green, safe, and opulent existence tough to match.

Negative

Negatives: Since waterlogging is a frequent bother throughout the monsoon, the drainage system needs a big renovation. Furthermore, the unplanned parking on internal roads sometimes generates unneeded disorder and narrow thoroughfares. We also have to witness an upgrade in the waste management system.

Positive

Positives: Because of its great infrastructure, I loved Salt Lake City, a well-developed and planned section of East Kolkata. Particularly with the Sector V Metro and the East-West Corridor initiative nearby, connectivity was a significant benefit. Essential conveniences were excellent. Universities like Salt Lake Shiksha Niketan and clinics like AMRI were always nearby. I valued the tranquillity and methodical blocks as well as the renowned Central Park. Though the premium site made it a less expensive region.

Negative

Negatives: Some blocks had regular voltage changes that caused problems with domestic appliances. Though it is a designed area, upkeep of the internal drainage system could occasionally be tardy, leading to waterlogging following intense seasonal rains.

Positives: Salt Lake is almost home. With the East-West Metro as a game changer like Phoolbagan and Sector V stations, our connectivity is excellent. Daily necessities are managed by nearby markets, City Centre 1 is the primary shopping hub. For medical treatment, we have Apollo Gleneagles. For instruction, we have Bidhannagar Government High. My favourite section is Central Park. Settled, amiable, and I would strongly advise this premium location. Here the investment future appears stable.

Negative

Negatives: Two aspects need work, traffic congestion close to the Sector Daily annoyance is V business hub, and some low-lying structures still have monsoon waterlogging, hence better drainage is needed. Here the general standard of living is just unmatched.

Positive

Positives: I arrived in Salt Lake City (Bidhannagar) recently and from day one felt its specialness. With large roadways like Biswa Bangla Sarani and the huge Central Park (Kolkata) providing a green, secure ambiance, the local is well-planned. It has great connection via bus routes along the EM Bypass and stations such the Metro's Central Park (Green Line). With IT hubs, hospitals, excellent schools, and markets all nearby, daily conveniences are good. For the standard and location, I find the pricing fair. Weekend strolls at the park lakeside are my favourite aspect.

Negative

Negatives: On the other side, two things might be enhanced, like some narrower inner lanes are packed and last-mile transportation via e-rickshaws is uneven in evenings. Generally, I would say Salt Lake is among the most desirable tenants.

Positive

Positives: Salt Lake is a great opportunity to get a reasonable apartment. I was fortunate to have one. Relaxing benefits from Central Park's green space are life-saving. Connectivity is excellent. The Sector V and Central Park Metro stations are outstanding, allowing me fast access to the nearby IT hubs and hospitals including AMRI. This prime area seems extremely calm and safe because of the broad, tree-lined roads and proximity to excellent schools.

Negative

Negatives: Strong monsoon rains cause irritating waterlogging in more seasoned blocks. Some inside residential roads need immediate repaving since their maintenance is terrible. In some areas after dark, the final-mile transit by automobile or e-rickshaws becomes uneven and badly lighted, hence better control is required.

Positives: Finding a flat here in Salt Lake City was sheer chance. I selected it since it provides the ideal balance of city access and arranged life. The connectivity is astounding. Near Sector V offices such as TCS, the area is a major IT hub. Our Metro station is right here. Besides, large hospitals like Apollo are just nearby. Central Park includes so much green area. For such a safe, top place, rent feels reasonable, and it is excellent for high rental value.

Negative

Negatives: Though I am glad, a few things could be better. The largest problem is office-hour congestion near Sector V. Some interior roads also get flooded quickly when it rains severely. Although it is very safe, public transportation like buses can be really congested occasionally.
