The good thing about the place is that you will always be just 30-35 minutes away from the airport. This suited a frequent flier like me during my time here.

WEH and Akurli roads become severely congested during peak hours. Monsoon & waterlogging are problematic in certain low lying areas, drainage in some sectors requires serious upgradation. Also, occasionally utility disruptions like gas or water happen, making problematic.

Positives: I am a home owner and I enjoy the convenient access to Kandivali railway station on the Western railway line and the proximity of the Akurli metro makes travelling easy. Prices of properties are affordable compared to South Mumbai. Negatives: Negatives are observed too. Parts of it are waterlogged during rain. There is limited public transportation within the area at times, which necessitates personal cars or auto rickshaws. All these notwithstanding, the serene residential atmosphere, good amenities, and access make Kandivali East a convenient and comfortable location to buy property.

The rental here is also quite affordable in comparison to other areas of Mumbai. Negatives: The only real drawback is the traffic. It becomes terribly congested, particularly during rush hours. The roads are sometimes narrow, and the illegal parking of rickshaws contributes to the disorder. And like much of Mumbai, there is some waterlogging in heavy monsoon rains

Positives: I still recall how convenient all this was that I could walk to Kandivali station, hop onto buses or utilize SV Road and the Western Express Highway to get to Andheri or Goregaon quickly. I enjoyed nearby shopping complexes such as Growel 101 and Thakur Mall, decent schools (Gundecha, Cambridge) and plenty of small parks where I ran. I felt secure with frequent police patrols and hospitals were not far, so day-to-day life was convenient. Negatives: I did get annoyed at times. I noticed bad traffic on main roads and bye lanes get congested during rush hours, and monsoon waterlogging affected some low pockets. I noticed many flats being small for the money, and constant construction provided dust and noise.

Positives: I find it very practical to live around here for everyday needs. Schools and colleges are nearby, hospitals are accessible, and local markets along with malls like Oberoi Mall make it easy to shop. The railway station is not far, and buses ply frequently, so traveling anywhere in Mumbai is handy. I also appreciate how many new residential schemes have emerged with proper planning. Prices are affordable relative to Western suburbs. It makes home ownership here seem like a good idea. Negatives: One thing I observe is that there are some older lanes which have narrow streets, so parking at times can be a bit challenging. Other than that, the area is safe, lively, and extremely family-friendly for people like us.

Positives: If you need a location that has everything, Kandivali East is a good bet. The connectivity here is simply the best, with the Western Express Highway and new Metro Line 7 offering an easy commute. There is a reason all the major developers are constructing here; you have every convenience, from top schools and hospitals to the fantastic Growel's 101 mall, at your doorstep. It's an extremely well-balanced and secure neighbourhood. Negatives: The only thing I should mention is that with all the growth, some of the interior lanes get a little cramped, but it's a small price to pay to live in such a busy and convenient location.

Positives: I always say, no locality can not beat the connectivity here. Being just close to the Western Express Highway and railway station has made it so easy to get around, and the new metro lines are just making things better. All I need is within reach, ranging from good schools and hospitals to massive malls like Growel's 101. This has made life ultra-convenient. The locality has a good balance of commercial and residential, so there is always something going on. Negatives: My one genuine gripe would be the problem with illegal hawkers. They tend to clutter footpaths, which is frustrating. Otherwise, it is all quite nice.

The apartments are cheap and affordable for all, and I can quite easily travel around the city using the train and metro within walking distance. All I need is here. It's a lively area but safe. I love this place. Negatives: The streets are always congested, and it gets extremely noisy. The roads also get flooded when it rains. Additionally, many of the apartments here have tiny rooms, which is somewhat of a negative.

Positives: I reside in Kandivali East. It's easily accessible by Kandivali railway, Poisar metro and SV Road/Western Express Highway, with malls (101 Mall, Thakur). It has decent schools (Gundecha, Ryan) and hospitals within walking distance, with affordable mid-rise dwellings and parks, making daily living easy. Negatives: Peak traffic, monsoon waterlogging are major problems. Also, I faced a lack of parking spaces.
