Bengaluru to Get 40 km More Tunnel Roads and 44 km Double-Decker Roadway

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that construction activity for the Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project is progressing steadily across all four corridors. Bengaluru's civic groups have filed a petition with the National Green Tribunal (NGT) seeking the cancellation of the proposed Twin Tunnel Road project. They allege that the ₹19,000 crore project violates environmental clearances, is riddled with flaws, and contradicts the city's mobility plans.
