Talegaon-Chakan Elevated Corridor Work Begins, Aiming to Ease Congestion

Construction has commenced on the 26.30 km Talegaon-Chakan elevated corridor, a part of the larger Talegaon-Chakan-Shikrapur highway project. This ₹6,150 crore initiative, targeted for completion by January 2027, is expected to alleviate approximately 50% of the existing traffic congestion in Pune's industrial belt.

A total of 4 residential transactions has been registered so far for Sai Zion Apartments, amounting to ₹ 88 L till August 2026.

Pune-Shirur Elevated Highway Construction to Begin Mid-Year

The construction of the 53.4 km Pune-Shirur six-lane elevated highway is slated to commence by mid-2026. This project, to be built under the DBFOT model, aims to ease congestion and improve road conditions on the Pune-Shirur route, ultimately connecting to the Samruddhi Highway. Minimal land acquisition is expected as the corridor will run alongside the existing highway.

The Maharashtra government has approved a significant highway upgrade project for National Highway 548D, connecting Talegaon, Chakan, and Shikrapur. The project includes the construction of a four-lane elevated highway and a parallel road, aimed at enhancing transport efficiency in a key industrial belt. This upgrade is expected to significantly improve connectivity and reduce travel times for businesses and commuters in the region, potentially boosting economic activity.
