You may come across people who say that they reside in an apartment. But what exactly is the term apartment? Well, in general, the term can get applied to residential units inside the building. Use of Apartment in Real Estate

And there are different types of apartments in today world. Some of them include:

• Studio apartments: These are the smallest self-contained ones, and they are referred to as studio, efficiency or even bachelor apartments. These units comprise a large single main room that acts as a living room, bedroom, and dining room combined with kitchen facilities.

• Garden apartment: Garden apartment is defined as amultiple-unit low-rise dwelling that comes with a considerable lawn. These apartment buildings are arranged around the courtyards that are open at an end. These apartments share some characteristics of the townhouse. Each of these apartmentshasitsbuilding entrance. They share the entrance through the staircase & lobby, adjoining other units above or below it.

• Basement apartments: They are generally on the lowest floor of the building.

• Salon apartments: They are the exclusive apartments built as part of multi-family houses. Generally, their structures included located anteroom with a function of a dining room and salon areas.

• Secondary suite: When a part of the house gets converted for ostensible use of an owner family member, a self-contained dwelling might be considered. In such instances, they are popular as the in-law apartment, annexe, or even granny flat.

• Loft apartment: These apartments got developed in the 20th century. The term describes described the living space created within the former industrial building, specifically the 19th century. The large apartments found favor with musicians and artists in need of accommodation in the large cities.
