A hall is synonymous with a room or any space within the entrance of any apartment, flat, or house. It may also mean a big room, building or area, which is used for public gatherings, meetings, and events. It is a central or public room or even passageway between the rooms as well.
Hall has several meanings including the following:
1. Castle/home in the medieval or aristocratic style.
2. Main living room/area of any building.
3. A big building, used mostly for public reasons.
4. A building used by an educational institution to house its students or other purposes. It can even a common dining room, dormitory or the entrance room of any building.
5. It may also mean the passage/corridor in any building.
6. It also means a big room/space for gatherings.
7. It also means any place that is used for entertainment and other activities by the general public.
Hall is used quite literally in real estate to denote the main living room of any area or the area/passageways/corridors between rooms. A rental hall may also mean any building, premises, room or area which is available for any occupant/occupants upon paying the requisite charge/fee. Real estate projects use the BHK model to denote property units. Here, the H stands for hall or the living room. For example, a 2 BHK property means that it comes with two bedrooms (B), a hall, and kitchen (K).
