Residents in Gurgaon have flagged the poor maintenance of greenbelts in sectors 30-31 and 40-41, citing neglected conditions, encroachments, and garbage accumulation. The greenbelts, intended as buffer zones, suffer from broken boundary walls and missing fencing.

GMDA will conduct a drone survey across 42 villages to identify illegal constructions and encroachments, following the issuance of 250 notices to violators, with survey results matched against revenue records for further action. The Haryana government is also initiating a land procurement drive to acquire 17,358 acres from 36 villages in Gurgaon for developing new planned sectors, managed digitally via the e-Bhoomi portal

Authorities have demolished 13 illegal gates on internal roads in Gurgaon's South City-1 to remove obstructions and ensure free public movement. The gates were found to be blocking access for residents, emergency vehicles, and civic services. This action aims to uphold regulations in licensed colonies and prevent unauthorized barriers on public roads and common areas.
