The Centre has put Jammu and Kashmir on the real estate map of India by allowing any Indian citizen to buy land in the union territory. There is no restriction on the area to be utilized for housing or shops. As per the new guidelines, the permanent resident certificate is not required for purchasing non-agricultural land in Kashmir.
