The Supreme Court ordered the sealing of nine properties belonging to the Amrapali group in Noida, Greater Noida, Rajgir, and Buxar, due to the group's failure to hand over all necessary documents to forensic auditors. The court noted that only documents for Amrapali Zodiac and Amrapali Princely Estates had been provided.
The Supreme Court issued a contempt notice against three directors of the Amrapali group, including the CMD, for defying court orders. The directors were directed to be present before the SHO of Noida Sector 62, and Noida police were instructed to take them to the sealed properties for cataloguing documents.
The Supreme Court cancelled the registration of the Amrapali group under RERA and the lease of its properties granted by Noida and Greater Noida authorities. The court appointed NBCC to complete pending projects and named senior advocate R Venkataramani as the court receiver.
NBCC delivered the Amrapali Golf Homes & Kingswood project in Noida Extension in 2024, which was launched in 2011 and taken over by the government in 2019. The township, built on 60 acres, includes 5806 delivered flats.
A total of 91 residential transactions have been registered for Amrapali Princely Estate, amounting to ₹ 66 Cr as of February 2026.
