India’s foremost and biggest proptech platform, Square Yards, has officially confirmed its Real Estate Metaverse launch. This is a completely interactive and immersive real-world environment which will enable users to explore properties through digital twins of whole cities, visualizing actual localities through a 3D-built environment, and walking into them as avatars that interact as part of a collaborative marketplace too. Square Yards has also won several global patents relating to virtual, immersive, and collaborative real estate experiences, while working with several top global property developers for putting project twins onto its Metaverse.
The launch event was held on the evening of 20th January, 2023 at Mumbai, with discussions on potential technological real estate disruption and had more than 150 attendees. These included CXOs and founders of top real estate developers and PE investment professionals. The company also hosted a path-breaking panel discussion called Metaverse & Digital Revolution of Real Estate, with Manisha Natarajan (anchor & consulting editor, NDTV) as the moderator, with leading figures of the industry participating in the same. They included the Founder & MD, Hiranandani Group, Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani, Managing Director & CEO, HDFC Capital, Vipul Roongta, Embassy Group Chief Operating Officer, Aditya Virwani, Ajmera Realty Director Dhaval Ajmera, Mayfair Housing MD & CEO, Nayan Shah, and Square Yards CEO & Founder, Tanuj Shori.
Most panelists were in agreement regarding the massive impact and potential of technological advancements like the Metaverse on the real estate sector, with innumerable opportunities for growth and innovation. The launch event also showcased several demos of the Square Yards Metaverse, demonstrating its abilities and features. This included future discovery and search platforms, with digital avatars taking a closer look at properties in digital twins of major cities, immersive virtual reality experiences for home interiors, Microsoft HoloLens and mixed reality experiences, data intelligence tools with analytics and advanced visualization for higher real estate transparency, and more.
The CEO and Founder at Square Yards, Tanuj Shori, stated that the company was excited about the future potential of Metaverse, while adding that it believes that interactive digital twins of cities will completely change the way in which consumers transact and interact for their real estate requirements. He also stated that Square Yards has already achieved higher penetration in several worldwide markets like Canada, Dubai, and Neom in a shorter duration with its patented digital twin technologies. Square Yards’ unique Metaverse for Dubai will be available freely for consumers in the second quarter of the calendar year 2023. This will be followed by top Indian cities like Bangalore, Mumbai, and Delhi-NCR.
