The opening of the elevated section of Bengaluru's Pink Line metro has been delayed to May 2026 due to construction delays. The underground section is projected to be completed by September/December 2026. This delay impacts commuters in South Bengaluru, and the ongoing construction has led to poor road conditions with numerous potholes, especially on Bannerghatta Road. BMRCL blames other civic agencies for not restoring the road properly after digging.
