In a major boost for real estate markets in Noida and Ghaziabad, as part of the Metro Stage 3 blueprint, the GDA (Ghaziabad Development Authority) has prioritized the metro expansion to Sahibabad from the Noida Electronic City over the Vaishali-Mohan Nagar Metro line. The choice to prioritize this stretch of 5.11 kilometres was majorly attributed to the fact that the DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) proposing the same in return for ensuring metro connectivity to Noida, Faridabad and Delhi from Ghaziabad.
This line will have 5 stations, namely Vaibhav Khand, Indirapuram, Shakti Khand, Vasundhara and Sahibabad. The project is expected to cost approximately Rs. 1, 886 crore as per reports.
