Buyers in the LIG (Low income group) category will also be eligible for purchasing some of these apartments. As per reports, there will be a total of 5, 262 apartments earmarked for buyers in the EWS category in Navi Mumbai. Buyers in the low-income group will have the remainder allotted to them according to reports. The draw will be held on the 2nd of October, 2018 by CIDCO and the entire process will be taking place online. A total online process has been chosen by CIDCO for this housing scheme lottery for the very first time in a bid to ensure greater transparency and a swifter procedure overall. The affordable housing projects will come up across 11 areas in Dronagiri, Taloja, Kharghar, Ghansoli and Kalamboli in Navi Mumbai. Carpet area will stand at 25.81 sq. metres for apartments falling within the EWS segment. Apartments in the LIG category will have carpet areas of 29.82 sq. metres.
