Instead of navigating a search portal, users can type something like “apartments in Pune under 2 crore” and get curated listings right inside the chat. Ask a follow-up question about a specific project, and the app fills in the details. Once a buyer narrows down their options, they’re routed to Square Yards’ website to dig deeper and connect with an advisor.
This launch fits into a bigger pattern: major consumer platforms are increasingly becoming AI-native interfaces, and companies are racing to meet customers where they already are. Square Yards has been leaning into AI more broadly, from internal tools that support its sales agents to AI-driven customer engagement, and this ChatGPT integration is its most visible step yet.
For an industry that’s often slow, paperwork-heavy, and high-stakes for buyers, making the very first step – discovery – feel like a casual conversation could be a meaningful shift in how people begin their home-buying journey.
