As per several studies and reports, premium and luxury villas continue to draw buyers throughout major cities in India. Several real estate developers have launched or are planning to launch luxury villa or independent home projects backed by growing demand in these categories. Growing lifestyle aspirations and incomes are fuelling demand for premium villas. Several studies indicate that demand for villa ownership has gone up by a whopping 50% in 2018 as compared to 2017 so far.

The luxury housing category is estimated to be just 4-5% of the entire housing sector and this could increase with more well-heeled Indians preferring to invest in luxury properties, particularly villas. The number of ultra-high-net-worth individuals in the country could touch 4.83 lakh by the year 2025. Several luxury properties like villas, bungalows and penthouses are being offered by top developers to cater to this growing tribe of customers. Key factors analysed by these buyers while purchasing villas include the location, views, amenities and distance to the city.

More investors prefer living in spacious villas within integrated townships with all necessary amenities. The projects are mostly located a little away from the hustle and bustle of the city and offer attractions like clubhouses, amphitheatres and swimming pools among others. It is not just entrepreneurs or wealthy businessmen who are investing in villas; premium projects in this space like Supertech Golf Country Villa and Paramount Golf Foreste Villa are finding takers from well-established professionals in the corporate world as well. There are several buyers who are also snapping up weekend villas as second homes in order to get away from the madness of the city every now and then.
