Wagholi is a major residential real estate hub which is located in close proximity to the Kharadi IT hub. Wagholi is becoming a preferred choice for real estate buyers due to its comparatively affordable prices and the speedy development of social infrastructure in the neighbourhood. Wagholi is located strategically along the Pune-Nagar Highway and has progressed rapidly since the days it was only an extension of the city in its eastern corridor. The proximity to the Nagar Road and easy access to the airport make Wagholi a preferred destination for buyers. The area also offers great connectivity to the Shikrapur-Chakan Road, Sholapur Highway and Bund Garden.

Social infrastructure has also developed swiftly in the area including several shopping malls, multiplexes, hotels and shopping centres. There are several reputed educational institutions nearby including Lexicon International School, Netaji Subhash Chandra Boys Military School, Sharad Pawar International School, Jyotirmay International School, Dhole Patil College of Engineering, Moze College of Engineering, GH Raisoni College of Engineering and Technology and the JSPM Imperial College of Engineering and Research.

Wagholi also offers easy access to several ATMs, hospitals and banks. Several leading developers have come up with premium projects in the area including VTP Purvanchal. There are several affordably priced properties in the locality along with premium projects. This ensures multiple options for property buyers. Wagholi is also expected to witness steady appreciation over the next few years with improvements in infrastructure and connectivity. The upgradation of the Nagar Road to a six-lane thoroughfare and the road connecting the area to the EON IT Park are major developments here.

There is a proposed four-lane flyover that will link Shikrapur and Wagholi. Additionally, a Rs.462 crore project will have a flyover built at Wagholi for lowering traffic congestion. Commuters were facing major traffic snarls for a 2.5 kilometer belt during the office hours and in the evening as well. This will be eliminated through widening of roads and the building of the flyover within a period of two years. The project will encompass other flyovers for the Shirur-Pune sector along with covering several IT and BPO offices, educational institutions and the Sanaswadi and Ranjangaon MIDCs. Wagholi will have the longest flyover constructed as part of this project to lower traffic congestion on the Pune-Ahmednagar Highway. This development should also be a shot in the arm for the real estate market here.
