This multi-year collaboration aims to create a credible, data-driven benchmark that tracks residential property prices across the country.
The index will leverage Square Yards’ extensive data intelligence ecosystem, including over 150 million property registration records, government circle rates, RERA data, residential listings, and transaction records. By combining this rich dataset with IIM Bangalore’s rigorous academic methodology, the initiative seeks to provide homebuyers, investors, lenders, policymakers, and researchers with reliable insights into housing market trends.
IIM Bangalore will independently design the index methodology and retain full academic freedom in publishing its research, ensuring transparency and credibility. Meanwhile, Square Yards will continue contributing anonymized and aggregated market data to support ongoing research and index development.
