The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has approved a 200-acre multimodal logistics park at Tappal-Bajna and initiated planning for an 8,000-hectare industrial node south of Noida International Airport. The logistics park will be offered to eligible investors through e-auction and is planned to support warehousing, cargo movement and supply-chain activities around the airport. The larger industrial node will accommodate factories, warehouses and light manufacturing units.
The 200-acre logistics park at Tappal-Bajna is being planned alongside an 8,000-hectare industrial node south of the airport. This puts the logistics park within a larger industrial land program. The surrounding YEIDA area already has industrial projects at different stages of development. YEIDA’s review covers 295 large industrial plots. Construction is underway on 69 of them, while 13 projects have already started production. This shows that industrial activity in the area has moved beyond land allotment, with several projects now reaching the construction and operational stages.
Employment impact will extend to Jewar and industrial sectors
The logistics park is expected to generate employment directly through warehousing, cargo handling, freight operations and supply-chain services at Tappal-Bajna. Its impact will extend to nearby industrial sectors, including the Medical Device Park in Sector 28 and the Apparel Park, MSME Park and Handicraft Park in Sector 29. These industrial clusters could increase demand for housing in Tappal-Bajna and nearby sectors. Sector 28 will also have a Data Center Park, while the 1,000-acre Film City is planned in Sector 21 along the Yamuna Expressway. Together, these projects are bringing industrial, technology and media-related activity into different parts of the YEIDA area, creating a broader employment base around the airport.
The airport is already adding activity to this employment corridor since June 2026. Its cargo terminal is therefore directly relevant to the logistics infrastructure being planned in the surrounding YEIDA area. The expansion of cargo and industrial activity would require homes closer to these work locations, particularly in areas with planned residential development.
Moreover, YEIDA’s proposed International Trade City is planned as an organized marketplace for industrial products, trade and exports. The project is expected to create opportunities in logistics, warehousing, transportation, packaging, marketing and export services, adding occupations that overlap with the requirements of the proposed logistics park.
YEIDA has also offered group-housing plots in Sectors 17, 18, 20 and 22D, while Sector 22E is being developed as an institutional and corporate-office zone. These sectors provide dedicated residential and office spaces for the workforce supporting the airport and nearby industrial projects.
