Positives: I ended up in Kandivali East some time ago, largely due to how convenient it became to commute to Mumbai. That train station and the Poisar Metro were just so amazing for connectivity, allowing me to zip across the city with ease. The social life also was wonderful; the entire thing was there from huge malls like Growel's 101 to decent schools and clinics. Negatives: But living there was definitely a mixed bag during monsoon. The region suffered from real waterlogging, local travel becoming a nightmare at times. My greatest daily annoyances were the merciless peak-hour traffic on the approaches to the Western Express Highway. Honestly, getting good, spacious rental flats was a formidable task. I liked the convenience, but I don't miss those daily hassles.

Positives: To settle down in Kandivali East seems to be a good decision at this point, particularly because I have to travel daily. I'm thoroughly enjoying the easy proximity to the railway station and the Western Express Highway, which makes mobility much simpler than I had imagined. Also, I have the advantage of the Sanjay Gandhi National Park being so near providing the area with a greener look and somewhat cleaner air than the inner city. Negatives: I am definitely ready for better civic services. The rent is extremely expensive here, which makes me feel like I’m overpaying. My biggest frustration is the severely unreliable water supply, with inconsistent timing every day. Also, the chronic crowding near the station and the constant traffic snarls on the service roads connecting to the WEH are genuinely exhausting.

Positives: Kan divali Railway Station on Western Line, Western Express Highway proximity, Akurli Road, and newer Metro Line 7 stations such as Akurli and Poisar facilitate commuting. Aided schools such as Ryan International, Cambridge School, Many hospitals nearby, malls such as Growel's 101, Thakur Mall provide good shopping and entertainment facilities. Parks and green pockets and proximity to Sanjay Gandhi National Park provide fresh air and nature relief. Negatives: Traffic jam & road congestion is a true phenomenon. WEH and Akurli roads become severely congested during peak hours. Monsoon & waterlogging are problematic in certain low lying areas, drainage in some sectors requires serious upgradation. Also, occasionally utility disruptions like gas or water happen, making problematic.
