Pune Municipal Corporation Plans Rs 2000 Crore Infrastructure Upgrade for Merged Villages

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is set to undertake significant infrastructure development in 32 merged villages, with an investment of approximately Rs 2,000 crore. This initiative, supported by the World Bank, Central Government, and Maharashtra Government, will focus on improving water supply, sewage networks, roads, and stormwater drainage.

Pune Municipal Corporation Allocates ₹954 Crore for Infrastructure in Merged Villages

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has earmarked ₹954 crore in its draft budget for FY2026-27 to fund infrastructure development in villages recently merged into the city's limits. This allocation aims to address gaps in civic amenities such as roads, sewage networks, and water supply in these peripheral areas, ensuring uniform development and improved service delivery.

During Q1'2026, average property prices for Akula Arini moved from ₹ 7,350/sqft to ₹ 11,750/sqft, reflecting a 59.86% rise.

External Works has reached 85%, Internal finishing stands at 50%, MEP Services including lift and staircases, are now 43% done.

A total of 9 out of 28 launched units have been booked as of November 2025, including 29% of 3 BHK(2 out of 7 units), 33% of 2 BHK(7 out of 21 units).

Structural Works reach 78% completion, External Works has reached 50%, Internal finishing stands at 35%, MEP Services including lift and staircases, are now 35% done.

A total of 6 out of 28 launched units have been booked as of November 2024, including 14% of 3 BHK(1 out of 7 units), 24% of 2 BHK(5 out of 21 units).
