Wagholi is situated in the Pune Metropolitan area in the state of Maharashtra.

Wagholi is located in Pune, Maharashtra. It is close to Kharadi IT Hub and Pune- Nagar Highway. Wagholi is historically known as the birthplace of Maratha Warrior Sardar Pilajirao Changojirao Jadhavrao. Wagholi was added to the area under Pune Municipal Corporation in 2021.

Wagheshwar temple is a popular temple in Wagholi. Wagholi has its historical significance with its name after a famous Wagheshwar temple (Tiger Temple) and house to Maratha warrior Sardar Pilajirao Changojirao Jadhav. Wagholi is a developing locality with areas such as Amrit Nagar, Ubale Nagar, Savannah, and Kalubai Nagar. A few key projects of the area are Alfa Life Space, Blithe Icon, Sai Shah, etc.

Trinity Landmarks is one of the key developers of the locality. Once a small village located on the eastern periphery of Pune, Wagholi has now transformed into a sought-after residential destination. The locality is connected through the Bakori road which connects it with the rest of the city. Pune Railway Station located around 30 minutes away caters to the area. The airport is just 10 minutes from the locality. Strategically located on the Pune-Nagar Highway, Wagholi is well connected to other parts of the city. It also enjoys easy accessibility to the established localities of Kalyani Nagar, Koregaon Park, and Mundhwa-Lohegaon.

The closest railway station is at a distance of about 14km, while the airport is located about 11km away. Proximity to recreational facilities, IT parks, malls, and some of the best schools in Pune makes Wagholi a dynamic location. The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has halted construction on five housing projects in Maan and Wagholi because developers failed to provide essential facilities like access roads and drainage systems. This action was taken following resident complaints and site inspections that confirmed violations. The PMRDA will only issue new permits , OC after pending civic work is completed.

According to me, this place is good for a residential place with all the basic facilities available nearby. I had been living here for 5 years as a tenant of a house. This place is a good locality for residential purposes with good road connectivity with the other parts of the city. This place has ample parking space with good-conditioned roads. Though a metro station is not yet available, Pune-Nagar Highway and the close 10 minutes from Pune Airport For foodies, Green9 and numerous restaurants nearby, Lexicon International School and Imax Mult speciality Hospital, plus a solid social infrastructure abound. Compared to other areas of Pune, the rents are really cheap. Although the safety is mostly good, I wish there were better street illumination on some inside roads. The two main gaps are certainly the lack of suitable metro connection and the need of more effective Gram Panchayat maintenance of managed locations.

Its strategic location directly on the Pune-Nagar Highway and closeness to the Kharadi IT Hub set it apart here. Although its central downtown location is missing, its great connection is a significant advantage, particularly given that the airport is only 10 minutes away! Among institutions such Lexicon International School and multispecialty centres like Imax Hospital, we have excellent social infrastructure. Furthermore, it is much more economical than Viman Nagar is it. The modest amount of parks and vegetation bordering the housing developments appeals to me. But for this region to be genuinely flawless, we need the local civic bodies to get more involved in waste management and solve the frequent, unanticipated power outages.

Wagholi is a decent area in terms of housing choices and affordability. Both Hadapsar and Kharadi are situated nearby, while the Solapur-Pune Highway and connecting roads are also accessible from here. The Pune-Ahmednagar Highway is the main lifeline for me at least, while the upcoming 6-lane road linking Charholi will be a good infrastructure development as well. ATMs, banks, eateries, grocery stores, and local markets are all readily available for maximum convenience in the locality.

Negative

The one thing that I wish to be solved is the potholed roads in many stretches, while the drainage system also has to be fixed here as well. Traffic congestion on the Nagar Road is another issue that I face too.

I personally like Wagholi for its relatively lower cost of living than other central Pune areas. The housing choices are quite affordable here, considering how there are several IT hubs nearby and a fast-increasing commercial cluster as well. Hadapsar and Kharadi are two main workplace hubs that are easy to access, and most people working here choose to stay in Wagholi for its family-friendly vibe.

Negative

The waste management and garbage collection facilities need to be improved a lot in the locality. There should be a system in place for improving these aspects.

Positives: I found enormous benefit in Wagholi, which seemed like a growing centre. Its cheapness relative to other Pune neighbourhoods drew strong rental demand, thus making it the finest. The closeness to significant commercial centres such Kharadi IT Hub and the simple access to the airport was much appreciated. Our family had easy access to great hospitals like Imax Multispecialty and schools like Lexicon International.

Negatives: However, because a section still fell under the Gram Panchayat, the general cleanliness and waste management outside the primary society gates felt disregarded, a constant negative experience. Furthermore, they were more restricted than in central Pune, where daily public transportation choices were limited because the area had no official Metro connection.

Daily needs are nicely supported by the local infrastructure, and the existing social fabric is simple to navigate. Even if the metro is not yet complete, the area's great road connections to the Nagar Road provide acceptable accessibility.

Negatives: Three significant sectors, though, somewhat reduce my overall pleasure and call urgent governmental action. First of all, the piped water source's reliability and pressure in some areas may be inconsistent during peak summer months. Positives: I find this area's quick development rather appealing. Though well linked to major areas of Pune such as Kharadi and Viman Nagar, it feels calm. Travel is made easy on the Nagar Road, and the future Metro Line from Ramwadi will enhance it even further. Nearby are excellent colleges such as Lexicon International and Victorious Kids Educares as well as hospitals like Lifeline and Balaji, which I appreciate greatly. Restaurants, shopping malls, and daily requirements are all nearby. Given its increasing demand, property here presents excellent value and good rental income.

Negatives: I feel the internal roadways still need better maintenance, though; occasionally during the summer months water supply problems occur.
