Wagholi is situated in the Pune Metropolitan area in the state of Maharashtra.

Wagholi is located in Pune, Maharashtra. It is close to Kharadi IT Hub and Pune- Nagar Highway. Wagholi is historically known as the birthplace of Maratha Warrior Sardar Pilajirao Changojirao Jadhavrao. Wagholi was added to the area under Pune Municipal Corporation in 2021.

Wagheshwar temple is a popular temple in Wagholi. Wagholi has its historical significance with its name after a famous Wagheshwar temple (Tiger Temple) and house to Maratha warrior Sardar Pilajirao Changojirao Jadhav.
