As per the reports IT special economic zones (SEZs) spanning over 250 acres have been planned at Hoodi village in Whitefield, Bagur village in Hoskote taluk, and Devarabeesanahalli, Boganahalli, and Bellandur in Varthur. Train service has also started by the South Western Railways from Majestic to Whitefield in the office hours to ease traffic woes. Improved social and physical infrastructure in the vicinity have boosted the real estate development in the region and has attracted several developers including Puravankara, Prestige, Raheja, Nester Group, Sobha and many others for their portfolio expansion. The property rates in these areas have seen the upward movement over the last years.
 

Social Infrastructure:
Being close to the nature and social infrastructures such as several lakes (Varthur Lake, Hoodi Lake, Kundalahalli Lake, Doddanekundi Lake, Bellandur Lake, KR Puram Lake etc.), park and the temples is the main advantage of living in East Bengaluru.
