Managed office provider SpazeOne is set to launch new centres in Coimbatore as part of its expansion across South India. These new facilities, planned for early 2026, aim to cater to the growing demand for flexible workspaces from enterprises and startups. This expansion will provide modern, scalable office solutions, supporting the city's growing business ecosystem.

The 32.40 km four-lane Coimbatore Western Bypass is in its final stages of construction and is anticipated to be completed by January 2026. With over 11.8 km already finished and land acquisition nearly complete, the project is set to significantly reduce traffic congestion, improve connectivity, and support logistics in the western part of the city.

The Coimbatore Corporation's proposed 2026-27 budget primarily features ongoing projects, such as the Noyyal river front development, bio-CNG initiatives, and waste-to-energy plants, including provisions for the completion of projects like the Ukkadam bus terminal and underground drainage works.

The Coimbatore Corporation is aiming to complete the restoration of 503.67 km of tar roads by the end of the year, utilizing a special fund of Rs 2,000 million for FY26. Additionally, tenders have been floated for asphalt overlay works on 1,919 roads. These initiatives are expected to improve road conditions across the city, leading to smoother commutes and reduced vehicle wear and tear.

The second Master Plan for Coimbatore, released by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, outlines a vision for the city's development by 2041. Key proposals include a 119.3 km outer ring road, nine industrial clusters, and five economic corridors, aiming to foster economic growth, improve transport systems, and accommodate a projected population of 58.4 lakh.

The Tamil Nadu government has renamed the Ukkadam–Athupalam flyover in Coimbatore in honor of Bharat Ratna awardee C. Subramaniam. Meanwhile , 32.40 km long, four-lane Coimbatore Western Bypass is expected to be operational by January 2026. And the Coimbatore Corporation has proposed establishing a ₹245-crore Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant at Ukkadam to improve water supply quality.
