The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP-RERA) has introduced amendments allowing allottees of unregistered projects to file complaints and capping administrative charges for property transfers. This aims to strengthen consumer protection and streamline processes, potentially leading to increased accountability for developers and easier property transactions for buyers.

Uttar Pradesh's 594-km Ganga Expressway, connecting Meerut to Prayagraj, is in its final construction phase and is expected to open early in 2026. The project includes numerous bridges, overpasses, and underpasses, aiming to significantly boost regional connectivity and economic growth by facilitating industrial zones along its route

The Union Budget 2026 includes the development of two high-speed rail corridors in Uttar Pradesh, one connecting Delhi and Varanasi, and the other Varanasi with Siliguri. These corridors will significantly improve regional connectivity and logistics, potentially boosting economic activity and creating employment opportunities across the state, including in Lucknow's vicinity.

The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has approved 16 new real estate projects across nine districts, totaling approximately ₹3,200.16 crore. Lucknow is the major contributor with six projects amounting to ₹2,154.69 crore, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. Agra & Ghaziabad too got one project each in addition to one each for Allahabad , Bareily & Aligarh.
