This facility aims to provide para-athletes with a dedicated space to train and compete nationally and internationally, fostering inclusivity in sports.

The Coimbatore Corporation has submitted a proposal to the state government for the construction of a Paralympic stadium in Kavundampalayam at a cost of ₹12 crore and is planning to establish a state-of-the-art sports complex for para-athletes on a 2.42-acre site along Jeeva Nagar Road in Ward 45, with an estimated cost of ₹15 crore. The stadium project aims to provide dedicated sports infrastructure for para-athletes, fostering inclusivity in sports.
