Haryana is reportedly planning to reduce its National Capital Region (NCR) footprint by 60%, potentially affecting Panipat, Karnal, Jind, Mahendragarh, and parts of Bhiwani. This move, reported on June 10th, is expected to take effect by June 16th. The impact on Gurgaon's regional planning and development is yet to be fully assessed.

The Delhi-Panipat-Karnal Namo Bharat RRTS Corridor is moving forward with the appointment of a General Consultant by the NCRTC to oversee its planning, design, and construction. This project aims to significantly reduce travel times and boost economic growth in the region.

A new mini bypass will be constructed in Panipat, connecting Idgah Road in Model Town to Gohana Road. This project, costing Rs 5 crore, aims to significantly reduce traffic congestion on NH-44 and decrease travel time between Gohana Road and Assandh Road from over half an hour to an estimated 8-10 minutes.

M3M has launched new luxury builder floors in Panipat, M3M Terraces, a premium low-rise luxury builder floor project, located within the 337-acre M3M City of Dreams township in Sector 36/3and excellent connectivity to Delhi NCR via NH-44. This launch is expected to boost the local real estate market and provide high-quality housing options, potentially increasing property values and attracting investment.

Foundation stones have been laid for the four-laning, widening, and strengthening of the Panipat–Safidon (State Highway-11) and Safidon–Jind (State Highway-14) corridors.This development aims to improve connectivity and reduce travel times. Concurrently, groundwork has commenced for the Delhi-Panipat-Karnal Namo Bharat corridor, a significant Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) project.
