The Union government has inaugurated Packages VI and VII of the Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway, part of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway under Bharatmala Pariyojana. These eight-lane access-controlled expressway sections are expected to significantly enhance connectivity.

The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has planned 11 new infrastructure projects, including bridges and flyovers, with an estimated cost of ₹643 crore.Key projects include flyovers at Makarpura-Sushain Junction, Tarsali junction, and Vrundavan junction, as well as widening of Vishwamitri River bridges.

Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones for urban infrastructure projects totaling ₹203 crore, focusing on water supply, roads, and cultural facilities, including enhancements to Sursagar Lake. On the real estate front, Shashwat Infraspace has launched Parkrest Villas, offering 3 BHK & 4 BHK villas, with an expected completion by December 2026.

Several new residential projects have been launched in Vadodara, including Parkrest Villas in Waghodi Road, offering 3 BHK & 4 BHK units. These projects, developed by various builders, are expected to cater to the growing housing demand in the city, with possession dates ranging from late 2026 to 2029.

CM Bhupendra Patel has approved ₹316.78 crore for the first phase of the Vadodara Ring Road, which will be 27.58 kilometers long and 45 meters wide, easing traffic to the Statue of Unity and Mumbai-Ahmedabad NH 8. Municipal plans to construct a new bridge over the Sama–Savli canal to reduce traffic on Sama–Savli Road, where another overbridge is already under construction.
