Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) has signed an MoU with the Odisha Government to provide term loans up to ₹1 lakh crore over five years for urban infrastructure and housing projects. This collaboration aims to accelerate housing and infrastructure growth across Odisha, including the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack-Puri-Paradeep Economic Region.

The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) will install sensors in major drains across the city to monitor silt accumulation and blockages, improving the effectiveness of desilting operations and overall drainage management. This initiative aims to reduce waterlogging and improve civic services during the monsoon season.
